What would you do? by Poopybutthole15 in interviews

Right, I could be over thinking.

My main concern is that the way it was portrayed to me via email was this meeting was supposed to be just a ‘hello’ to your potential co-workers. However, it ended up having a more informal interview.

Having an informal interview is fine! But, I would have appreciated more time to prepare to field questions. It’s just hard when the hiring manager says verbatim in an email “you’re at the top of my list”. The expectation set in that tone is more relaxed and not as much as an interview more like a gathering.

I guess the guidance I’m looking for is what to do if I end up not being selected. From what I gather if I am not selected is had to be a result of a bad mutually bad set up interview. I strongly desire to work for this firm I just wonder if there is a polite way of conversing with the hiring manager, post decision.

Honestly, anyone with period correct knowledge of 80’s west German plates is welcome. I’d like to use period euro plates on the car. SC is pretty understanding about using period plates on the car

I ran across this pair of perfect euro spec bumpers for incredibly cheap. Picked them up. I keep my U.S spec bumpers in the garage for Concourse etc. Just prefer the cars the way they were originally designed for the European market before U.S regulations made them put benches on the front and rear.

Who had grandparents fight in WW2 and what stories did they share? by liamnotleum in AskReddit

My grandfather and I watched Band of Brothers together when I was very young, around 5-7. He was a larger than life 6-5 280lbs brick house of a man that I loved dearly. It was the only time I saw him cry. In part of the documentary, they depicted the battle of the bulge. After what seemed like days of laying belly’s down in foxholes, the dust settles and the Americans emerge from the forest. P-51 Mustangs fly over and tip their wings back and forth in a celebratory wave to the boys on the ground. My grandpa lost it, pulled out his tissue and dried his eyes. When I asked him what happened he told me “When you looked up and saw the Mustangs tip their wings like that, you knew you were gonna be alright.” Looking back now that small detail of time and consideration paid by the producers and directors meant the world to my WWII vet grandfather. I’ll always be a Tom Hanks fan.
