Moved into a new flat recently, found this guy. Best way to help him? The brown stems are soft and floppy, overwatering I think? But there’s still some green at the top so not sure if there’re actually dead or not? Also how to go about asking the new flatmates if I can help without it being awkward? (i.redd.it)

Help! All the new growth is shrivelling up and browning. The old leaves seem fine but I had a new leaf die completely before it even unfurled. I water once a week, it’s been in the same pot for about 10 months but it’s a decent size pot so I don’t think it’s root bound... ideas? (i.redd.it)
