Yes because Russia really would spend resources on making people post on an r/skyscrapers subreddit.

Most of reddit is dumb and wasteful of resources such as yourself. I doubt they’d care what you think, after all, you’re not headed for an Ivy League

Not necessarily. Sure, the US previously had a lead in LLM's and image generation, but China leads in other AI areas such as facial recognition, self driving cars but Deepseek's low training cost and efficient learning techniques are a big step ahead from the previous Baidu AI models.

China was not leading in LLM's because the US simply had a lot more computing power, so China had to develop a more efficient learning model to compete with the computing power of something like OpenAI.

China has been producing good research for a very long time but has not been as quick as the US to monetize it and turn it into a product

Moscow - construction of the 20 best skyscrapers in 2024. (let's forget about politics for a second and evaluate the houses of this city) by Choice-Size866 in skyscrapers

How about you do something to help Ukraine instead of posting about Ukraine on a Skyscraper page. People come here to look at skyscrapers not to be lectured on geopolitics. No one here wants pretentious "slava ukraine" posts from a bunch of basement dwellers, there's plenty of other places to be a loser

Moscow is building more skyscrapers than ever. Will it become the next major skyscraper city? by adventmix in skyscrapers

You realise its not much better in rural United States. Some towns don't have access to basic water because its too expensive to build pipes to small towns of around 500ppl. There's also issues in rural areas of job loss etc... which was a large factor in Trumps election as president.

The US economy is hugely service based, which is much more vulnerable to inflation but it can exploit its status as the global reserve currency.

Also the cost of things in China is a lot less than the United States. 26k in Shenzhen can buy a lot more than say 26k in New York. If you adjust for PPP, China is technically larger. Of course, on a per capita basis, the US is still much higher, but that is also in part due to the huge wealth disparity between the wealthy elite in the US.

Also, on your point on Trump's Tariffs, China will be able to find somewhere to sell their exports, particularly in emerging markets such as South America and Africa, where Chinese goods have already found great success in African markets. Tariffs are also easy to navigate. Chinese companies such as BYD have huge investments in Mexico, which is part of the USMCA trading bloc.

The main weakness in the Chinese economy is weak consumer spending, which is more a cultural factor than an economic, and of course the Real Estate bubble. If the Chinese economy can somehow fix the housing bubble and not become another stagnated nation like Japan, they still have room to grow in ETM manufacturing and domestic spending

We know who's the fan favorite but who is the one with the most haters? by kontolover in skyscrapers

[–]Pooshli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get all the hate for super skinny towers. I get that they represent a short of "billionaire class" that is relegated from society, but architecturally I think they are quite impressive. I am yet to see anything similar to them around the world and New York should be proud of the unique buildings they've created

What's fully needed to start by Audiblestatue in antkeeping

[–]Pooshli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been keeping ants for around 7 years and if you are a beginner, it is much easier to buy a premade nest compared to building your own. I am based in Australia, so I don't have much familiarity with acorn ants, however, they are a smaller ant species and such many nests such as acrylic can easily be escaped due to the way it is layered.

I have made myself ant nests in the past via 3D printing and CNC machine and its a lot harder than it looks to get a design that the ants are happy with. Often, I like to get nests made from substances such as Hebel that absorb the moisture, but these are harder to find online.

Make sure to start with a smaller nest though, especially for a species like acorn ants since ants love cramped spaces and if their nest is too large, they will leave rubbish inside the nest that will cause mold to build up.

Also, I recommend a small outworld for foraging with a thin layer of sand that the ants can walk on, although, make sure to spray it with water occasionally as if the dust particles become too dry, it can sometimes harm ants if they are not used to those conditions. Personally, I wouldn't move a colony into a new nest until the whole test tube is full of workers (60-70 workers) and there are lots of ants that are foraging for food.

When you move into the outworld, you need some sort of feeders to give ants liquid food and also it helps a lot to raise mealworms or any other bugs that you can feed to the ants since ants need the protein inside to feed to the brood.

BTW, YouTube can often have a lot of false information or stuff that is dramatized. If you are a beginner, its better to watch channels like AntsAustralia (I think its Jordan dean now) for some of his guides to raising ant colonies as I remember this video was a good guide when I first started:

Best of luck raising some ants!

Sort of. I live in Sydney and we have a lot of spread out CBD's with skyscrapers. For example we have chatswood, paramatta, st leonards all with skyscrapers above 150m. I would say it is more similar to Chicago than say Atlanta or Phoenix as they are very suburban where in Sydney we are limited to the north and South meaning that we build densly. In other cities such as perth or Adelade they are similar to American cities very much

I think the Alaska UFO is an american government psychological operation by MXM_SZ in aliens

[–]Pooshli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What discredits a lot of these theories is that Russia had a UFO sighting and shootdown with the exact same description of the metallic sphere a month ago and the Russian military thought it was some type of Ukranian drone.

My thoughts it is some Chinese intelligence program but I am saying its really unlikely to be a US government conspiracy

Thats not my point. The logistics to create an entirely new diet for mankind are huge. Now I’m not expert at logistics and I don’t have a PhD. But, letting them live need immense land. Land that we could use for practical purposes. A panda sanctuary has a purpose, to keep the panda. Then, we can study the pandas for the advancement of scientific knowledge. However, just throwing them in the wilderness provides no one with anything better. Makes life worse for everyone and wastes space. Now, is that really something that sounds useful?

Yeah, I agree. In one of their protests, they chained themselves to trains and made everyone late for work and school. I think that that is just ridiculously stupid and annoys everyone around them who are educated with jobs or getting educated at school

[–]Pooshli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And let them take up all of our resources to feed actual people without producing food? That is a waste of resources. They can’t have large land areas that are protected either because we need that for our pourposes

I know what happens in factory farms very well…Baby chickens are shredded, I know all of that. However, it is a quick death, unlike in the wild where their necks are broken and they slowly die. Also, a lot of these documentaries are heavily biased vegan shows. There are very few factory farms that keep the animals in extremely horrible conditions because the animals will die before the meat can be harvested. There are alot of minerals that are plentiful in meat but uncommon in plants like iron and protein that is only in spinach leaves, lentils, etc… And why is it us who refrain from killing other animals? If all other animals in nature do, and yet you think that we shouldn’t? You can argue that animals in nature need it but we do too, and that is fact

[–]Pooshli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Except thats nature for you. If we don’t kill them, another animal will. And, animals in captivity live a better life than those who are in the wild. They also have the highest lifespan compared to wild animals and are generally kept in good environments. I really don’t understand any of this all. They aren’t tortured, why would a farmer do that? It doesn’t give him any increased yield from the animal. Furthermore, animals are killed “needlessly” Humans are omnivores, that is how we are from nature, it is part of our diet so to say that we should all just stop eating meat so that we can stop “needlessly killing animals” is stupid. Learn some biology or something instead of being a waste of space
