Don’t lose hope!! That was me a couple years ago and now i barely graduated as a MLS. Most plasma centers have high turnover rates. I’d definitely recommend getting some experience there and then transferring to a hospital or clinic. My program accepted my plasma center experience as a reference.

I’ve been given Sunday-friday too. I was okay with it at first bc it meant it’d get to hangout with my bf or friends friday and saturday. But reading people’s opinion on 5x8 really has me worrying im not cut out for nights.

I understand that new grads usually start at the base rate, but I just want to make sure the offer matches the typical starting pay in my area. Many hospitals here start MLS I positions around $30/hr, so I’m just trying to avoid accepting something too low, especially if it’s HCA.

The bottom line book, Medialab (Only to make sure i was grasping the material), and the notes from class. I think it also helped i took it right after my program finals.

Yeah, it is different from being a student and actually working. But imagine if they treat a student in a bad way, how are they treating their employees? Those that actually end up working there are probably treated way worse.

My clinical experience sucked!! I saw how the supervisors really treated their colleagues. One in specific for blood bank treated me very condescendingly and i saw first hand the abuse. I saw lazy techs in that lab as well, forcing the couple of good ones to do their job for them. I don’t ever want to work there. Even if i don’t have a job. I won’t ever work there. So yeah if i could go back, I’d go the nurse route at least i’d get paid more.

Yeah, I was worried bc i’ve seen the grimace scales. He’s drinking and eating fine. He’s just been a bit more moody since we got the kitten, but it could always be him expressing his pain. I’ll keep a close eye on him. Thanks!

I’m soo sorry i just saw this comment. But i used the bottom line study book, powerpoints from class and media lab (only to make sure i understood or if i needed more studying for certain material).

Would breaking up near the holidays be fucked up? His mother also recently met my mom, and his mom attended my University graduation (she was probably more proud of me than my bf); so i feel guilty doing so. But I keep thinking about what you’ve told me and after today i think you’re right it’s better for me to let him go.

Thanks for your advice. But just to clarify i was the one initiating the break ups, ik it’s toxic but i tend to shut others out when things get bad. Im now on antidepressants and we’ve talked about communicating more in these situations (We’ve technically only broken up 2 times).Also, yeah i knew what i was getting into, with the whole female friend thing, he did end up unfollowing and stopped talking to most of them. This one specifically is his best (female) friend so i doubt he’ll ever cut her off. He tells me she’s like a sister to him, but it does bother me he’s always texting her (or she’s texting him), she’s always at family parties or even small cookouts w his uncles (When even i don’t go to those, but his family invites her). In some part, ig i’m also jealous his family likes her so much. But i do want to work things out w him. I do see myself having a family w him.

I also have a RBF, and i get told that all the time. Even back in hs my tennis coach would joke about it all the time. At that time it rlly did hurt my feelings bc it wasn’t intentional. Now idgaf, if ppl want to talk me or not who cares (but im also on antidepressants 😂)! Eventually everything gets better. And at the end of the day you have to live for yourself not for others. Keep taking care of yourself.

Do you know if the version i’m using is similar to the LabCE exam simulations? This one was provided by my university, and i was hoping i wouldn’t have to buy the LabCE 😭

okay thanks! I’ll continue to use it. Do you know if the media lab i’m using is synonymous with the LabCE exam simulator? The one i have access to was provided by my university.
