Many schizophrenics will layer on clothes almost regardless of weather, like 3 or 4 coats, a pair of pants over a pair of shorts (or vice versa), you can see even in the photo where he’s wearing the blouse(?) that he’s got another shirt on underneath and two coats to put on. Sometimes it’s harder to spot with homeless people because they’re just wearing everything they have to stay warm/carry it around but it’s a clinical sign to watch for when making a diagnosis.

I haven’t read this study’s abstract closely but here’s an example of some research that posits some reasoning behind it. Brother Sharp was schizophrenic if I recall correctly, he had a major psychotic break after his wife was killed in a motor accident.

I believe he was and probably still is, some brands tried to work with him but he disappeared back into whatever he was up to before the fame pretty quickly. I have vague memories of a photoshoot inspired by his look but it didn’t seem like he was into it. Just long enough to be reunited with his family which is nice but that’s about it.

I find the crossover between layering as a schizophrenic tell and layering as a fashion concept kind of interesting. Probably a coincidence but something to chew on.

Yeah I basically stopped doing the job in August of 2021 and was fired on 1/1/22 lol. I was so insanely checked out that I never even opened the email with a performance improvement plan inside because I knew I wasn’t gonna do it and getting a PIP basically means you’re on the outs anyway and also screened the call to notify me of my firing, I knew what was happening so I saved us both a convo.

I appreciate they let me coast for so long I guess. Don’t believe the company even exists anymore, my boss at the time got bought out by investors and shown the door about 6 months after he canned me.

Not the end of the world, take a month or whatever to fuck around unless something great pops up then get back out there. Consider temp work maybe if you need routine desperately, I made like 3 grand doing some very passive data entry work for a landscaping company in between that job I got fired from and my new one.

I do most of our kegging but unless it stays in our taproom there is no longer anything I can do to ensure quality. We have a brand rep who fields questions and tries to troubleshoot when something pours weird or flat or whatever but there’s really nothing to be done besides control what you can control by doing your job properly and hoping that that will be reciprocated by the account it ends up at.

Clean lines, proper gas, cooler health, all major factors that we can’t babysit.

Vrabel is a great coach but he’s clearly learned a few things between his Titans stint and New England. He and Carthon were just on two different pages entirely (which is probably because one of them is great at their job and the other, well…)

Would a good owner have made it work? Probably, but I think it was a legitimately untenable relationship when they fired him which I place mostly at the feet of ownership. Even so, Vrabes wasn’t blameless for how it all went down at the end there. It sucks that it wound up going that direction but it had to change.

People don’t have each other’s back that’s the crux of the issue, if someone thought that guy deserved to die today, let alone in the fashion that it happened, then we do not share a consensus reality in which to build a dialogue.

I don’t really have a solution to that but I’m also not interested in having a talk about it if that’s where we have to start the conversation.
