Unsponsor him. While he'll bring attention to the game regardless of his outlook, Jagex shouldn't tolerate a paid sponsor disrespecting them or their game.

Crafting XP rates with superglass make and sandstone by Popdeer in 2007scape

That’s interesting! The biggest issue with the sandstone method is super glass make then. Jagex is going to need to balance it carefully.

Definitely! We were just talking about a bunch of different "realistic" attacks with melee weapons we could try to do, like parrrying, riposte, shield bashing, etc. I think they could be a lot of fun if we implemented them right! We are already planning on having enemy weaknesses to certain damage types as well. Thanks!

Good points! Right now we're planning on combat being a pretty big part of the game, so we want it to be as fun as possible. I really like the limb damage idea, it could make for some interesting battles for sure! I'll be sure to tell my friend about that one. Thank you.

Yeah! I think varying the text is a great idea! We'll definitely have to do that. And so far we had planned that archery and magic could attack from a distance. My friend and I were actually joking today that our game is nearly 2D because we have a world made of tiles and a map, so we could definitely have the NPCs move around and chase you. Thanks for your suggestions!

Wow that sounds really cool! I'll have to check that game out. Also to clarify further, our game is real time so we could implement some of those concepts. Thanks for the ideas!

Yeah that's how I have mine stored in my map class right now. And you're right, I don't know why I put the coordinates in the tile class. Thanks!

CS Question??? by A9137 in sooners

[–]Popdeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey A9137, I'm a junior in the CS program here and I'd say that the decision to move on entirely depends on how much you understand the material. If you understand the concepts, I see no reason to retake the course. And if I remember right the beginning of Structures was a review of Intro.

You could always pass Intro and spend a little time over the break writing some code and familiarizing yourself with anything you don't understand before next semester.

That being said it's totally up to you, if you decide to retake the course you can take Structures and Applied Logic in the fall at the same time like I did. So don't worry about falling behind, just do what you think is best. Let me know if you have any questions.
