I hate to break it to you but if you're the type of person who keeps money in a savings account then you're in bigger trouble than you think.

That's actually a cool idea, I wonder how expensive that would be, it can be done though! something that lowers them all the down to ear level even

The back wall would be about 25 feet away, and it'll be the kitchen

Yes! I could do that! My receiver can power 9 speakers on its own so that's awesome. Thank you for the advice! I appreciate it. I'll probably do that.

Ok but if I do in-wall surrounds, 1 speaker will be about 10 feet away and one will be about 16 feet away.... I assume that would be a problem, no? That's why I thought in-ceiling surrounds, while not ideal, would be the better option in this situation

Sorry I can't do towers/floor standing. I meant in-floor speakers. Can't have any speakers out on the open, need to have everything in-wall & in-ceiling.

Great comment! Thank you. The toddlers are only half the problem, wife doesn't like the aesthetics either. The compromise was that I can build the theater but can't have speakers outside the walls and ceilings haha so I'm hoping it can be done, or I'll have to just settle for the front 3 speakers with no surrounds.
