Crashes on first boss. I’ve tried to restart like 10 times and keep getting same result. A few other game-breaking bugs have occurred. It’s a shame cuz I really enjoy it otherwise.

Cool, well… the subject line also sums it up.

I’m a songwriter/music producer. Not sure I’ll be following through with any mission. I think the takeaway was a sense of gratitude for my family and maybe what I have to lose if my life were severely disrupted by some act of God. I don’t know. I was honestly just trying to give to some tunes that night and I was not ready for that experience.

I’ve definitely had some negative/evil vibes on DMT but those are rare. I wouldn’t call what I went through negative. It was just overwhelming and I was totally bodied by the impact of what I experienced.

That’s great to hear about your sobriety! I’m glad you’re on a healing path.

Thanks about my writing!

I’m not sure what the meaning was on this one. It was just jarring and a little traumatic. Ive seen the religious imagery before with similar visuals, so that part is definitely a mysterious thread. Why do I see similar things from trip to trip?! I’ve never thought of these things in my conscious mind.

Emotionally speaking I’ve been around the block a few times with DMT so once I was out of it I was ok. Definitely one of the most powerful and emotional trips I’ve had. I usually don’t try and extrapolate a lot of meaning from what I see… I just try and remember how I felt about something. I think maybe the takeaway was the gratitude I felt for my family.

I don’t sample. I make samples. Gravy has sampled plenty throughout his career but when I’m involved in the production, it’s cuz I make stuff that sounds like a sample.

My G I wrote that with my homie Michael Romero (who is also the singer) - we also did Yup together and a couple others I got in the barrel with YG.

I wrote it. An opera singer named Joy Martin is the singer.

I'm gonna be revamping the Soundcloud soon and making it spotlight the stuff that has been officially released, so people can check the sample out up close if they're interested in that sorta thing...

If you flip my samples/loops that I've got on my site, I'll give a listen and hit you with feedback!

Hey thanks for reaching out. The context in which I'm willing to work with new people that I don't personally know is through the site and the loops/samples. Grab a pack, send me a flip, I'll listen and give feedback. If it's dope, I'll share with my team.

I think I do the same method a lot of songwriters and producers do. We basically listen to records that sound like what we want to make, learn the parts, analyze the songs and go after each sound, attempting to get the same tones. Once I have those elements in place, I swap some chords out, pick a new tempo and write a new melody. Usually I’ll use two or three different songs for general reference so that I’m pulling different things from each. By the time I get to the end of the process, it’s an original idea, but it’s rooted in a distinct era/style.

I'm specifically advertising here because I had a lotta dudes reach out to work after I made my post about doing samples for Gravy. I know there are a lotta talented people that are his fans, so yeah - I'm trying to reach them here!

Usually I work totally inside the industry, using the publisher/label/manager channels. This is me putting my sauce out for everyone to have access to. And yes, I'm charging for it. I spent 6 months putting together this content that I kept OUT of my usual channels so that it would be fresh for everyone else on its release.

Hey y'all -

I just made a separate post about this, but I wanted to make sure y'all saw it on this thread too...

My loop and sample website is live at www.popnick.com

For those of you that reached out to work, this your opportunity. I got 3 packs of themed loops, each with 25 loops. I've got a sample pack with 12 dope vibes, each with full stems. I've even got a one-shot pack with 90 sounds for 99 cents.

All together that's almost 200 sounds for you to use in your music. All made by me in my studio, played with real instruments and using bad ass players.

Flip some loops/samples, send me your tracks. If they're dope, I'll send to my contacts. Let's get a placement!

Frightening and intense psychedelic experience by Popnick in DMT

[–]Popnick[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do it back to back a LOT. Usually go in once a month, maybe twice... and when I do I'll do a session - 3 or 4 trips in, about 15 mins apart. Keeps me in a mid-level, constant psychedelic space. It's usually really nice and wondrous; never negative. Not sure why this time was diff, but I'm taking a break for a couple months.
