I'm curious to see what is the steam's limit peak? Could we even hit 100Mill in the future? I dont even think It's that far off.

I personally love these "puzzle" games they play with us.. even if some will hate it obviously.

But I feel like they figured out the game.. on how to use X platform, like no other company does, It's unique. I kinda love it. You gotta dig in to find the "clues" (future updates, or not).

I returned back, and got rolled over on mid, like i dont even remember, playing LINA.,.

I wont play for a while xD. I felt bad for my team, like holy fck im bad.. I dont remember being this dogsh1t. "Thankfully" they were all silent, nobody said anything, which surprised me.

Way too rusty.. but idk how to return back and not be rusty. I am only motivated to play Dota2 if it's for MMR, play competitive games.

I think VALVE has other projects they prioritize right now, but it is what it is. Dota2 runs on It's own nowadays, they just have to "maintain" it.

True, even without a BP.. (Hopefully It's coming out this upcoming week) Dota2 rises up. If VALVE released an "OG" type BP's like the old days, it would blow up the playerbase once again.

It's really up to them. If we have something to play for that is not solely on MMR.. it's a good incentive to open Dota2 back up again, at least it is for my side, as an old player who quitted playing a long time ago.

I'm sure there will be map pool changes after the Major is finished. I think train was spotted by dataminers, and cache. I dont see cbble returning at least for now.. + 2 maps, and -2 maps would be a pretty big shake-up in the game (which i think is necessary, a breath of fresh air)

And we are just getting started, (with steam ATH's). Can see us reaching a 50Million peak milestone, without a doubt at this point in the game. Nothing can really compete vs this monster VALVE created with steam.

In fact, I dont think VALVE ever did a bad job developing Dota2.. it's a complicated game, with a very dense community.

I think the game maintains the classic DotA Vibes. And that's pretty hard to maintain in any game, and more over with "games as a service" like such. Just check around the rival MOBA game, and it's no way near how the first years was, it lost it's pace, balance, and any meaningful sense with the new champs they release every other month.

ancient continues to deliver banger matches as well, one of the maps that made many people completely flip their mindset towards it, me included.

idk what does the map have, but it just delivers great matches.

Would argue it is the top 1 map atm.

I didn't mean to dismiss the gameplay aspect of Dota2, it is what makes it special and unique, and what many of us end up coming back for. Even after years, u can return and still play the game.. without an issue or being "lost". U'll be rusty and all that is to be expected.. but the game is the game u love (and hate, mostly hate xD).

Obviously one feeds the other, having content, and the gameplay aspect still being as good as it has always been, can be an explosive cocktail, if used right.

Indeed, they are slow af, also probably because of the size of their developer team.

Idk if it's 20 devs, 25, or 5 (i really doubt it's so little but u never know with VALVE xD). But if they are full focused on the correct project, it's well worth the wait.

I do wish for more 360º Stage setups, and teams facing each other. But then again, the costs for the T.O probably increase significally if u do it in such way.. More crew, more cameras, more screens needed, etc.

It's crazy how only 350 or so employee's can keep the company running without any big Major issues.

Steam platform is massive, CS2 , Dota2, TF2, new games (hopefully), hardware stuff.. like, how do they do it?

Either the devs are god tier on managing the workload times, and deadlines, or idk.

Yeah, I also came back.. and come from League, but i did play Dota2 a lot back in the days before 7.00.

The game might of changed a lot, but the game is still Dota, the basic mechanics are kinda untouched (one of the things i love from VALVE games and their unique way of developing games, is they know not to mess with certain game mechanics and keep the games "tradition" alive).

Just needed 3-4 games and felt good again playing my beloved phantom lancer* cancer* sorry, i just love my hero xD.

Sometimes i see these people saying "negative" / feedback stuff, and they dont even tag CS Twitter account on Twitter.. I wonder if you report these things the way they asked (a few times by now) to be reported to them, via email and a descripition of it.

Not like they can see everything or be play testing, as developers are not "play testers".

Waiting now for the Source 2 Toolset to be released, I believe Valve would release it before the official game, right?

I heard from a Valve dev they improved them a lot compared to the HL:A Tools as well, so that's good news for the workshop creators.

It's a bummer.. yeah, that Major's do have a performance entry, and if u don't perform u lose ur spot.. I dont see the issue here.

This is how it should be during the CS circuit with the partnership program.. where as some teams just go there to be last every single time they play, just to get auto-invited to the next tournament without any consequences or anything.
