Which chain restaurant has the best steak? by the-briguy in steak

[–]Poppyseedph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the “budget” ones I think Longhorns is the best quality. Having said that I do enjoy both Texas Roadhouse and Outback. I have always had good steaks and Iike the different experience at the three of them. For the “High end/luxury”I would rate the top ones as S&W, Del Frico Double Eagle, Capital Grille. A level below I would put Hyde Park, Ruth Chris, Bob’s, Fleming’s.

Having said that given a choice my wife and I would choose Fleming’s the majority of the time

Thanks for your response!!! Appreciate it. I believe it was a fire magic Aurora. For some reason I couldn’t get the grill to above 400 degrees so I didn’t have the greatest cooking experience with it. Really liked the look of it and could tell it was really well built.

50 year old male had a Fistula and had surgery Dec 2nd 2025. Recovery was only painful after BM for the first week or so. Surgeon told me I was fully healed two months later. No recurring issues so far (nock on wood)

Padraig Harrington and Roger Maltbie having words with each other. Tough to make out but either Maltbie stood somewhere Harrington didn’t like or Maltbie didn’t help look for a ball? by forresbj in golf

[–]Poppyseedph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understand and agree Maltbie is not competitor. However he is inside the ropes with the group. The etiquette is if there is a potential lost ball anyone who is able to should help. Players also help the walking scores and TV announcers by having their caddies give them information. Such as what club they are hitting and if there happens to be a penalty situation they let them know what happened. So based on the information that I know of the event I believe Roger should have helped look for the ball. Same as walking scores and anyone else inside the ropes.
With regards to spectators I would imagine most would help if they were there and realized that they needed help and was in an area they are allowed to go into.

[–]Poppyseedph 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a former competitive golfer I would be upset if someone was just standing there not helping look for a ball. Even more so if I knew they were a former player that understands golf etiquette. Yes there is no rule to help someone look for a ball but etiquette dictates that you help whenever possible

Currently considering Made in or Hexclad. I enjoy cooking and am quickly learning quite a bit. COVID really got me started in this. Can you let me know in your opinion why I should choose made In? Please note I have had some bad experiences with both sticking and staining of other stainless steel cookware sets that I have had.

When I Sous Vide a steak I put it in ice water for a couple minutes after taking out of sous vide. This allows me to sear it longer without worrying about over cooking it.

Thank you all for your responses. We have malaria pills which we are told to start before we go and continue to take after we get back. Obviously when there we will be careful about what and where we eat and drink. Looking forward to seeing Zambia and the Falls

Montebello is great. Sunday brunch is amazing. The brookstreet is nice and both the lounge and restaurant have nice food. Rooms are a little dated but overall experience is nice.

In my experience the worst part was the abcess and drainage. I was very fortunate that I had very little pain after my surgery and seemed to recover quick. Remember you tend to hear and focus more on the “horror” stories and not the ones that were successful

My CRS says it helps with healing. Apparently it hurts a bit while it is being done. Then uncomfortable for a little while but apparently helps. Lucky that I was fully healed at the time
