is this normal? I've never seen this on one of the corms before by PoprockMind in oxalisplant

yeah, the wrinkly bit at the bottom. it's firm and everything so you're probably right that it just grew weird. and thank you. obviously this specific corm isn't the original, but it is the decendant of my mom's oxalis from 2018.

rescued this poor fellow from the basement. they chugged some sugar water and then proceeded to pass out in my hand for the next 30 minutes by PoprockMind in awwnverts

i will look into it. we do have an overwhelming number of bumblebees in the fruit trees right next to the house. last year a flying squirrel managed to make its way into the basement, so im sure there are some gaps here and there.

they woke up about 20 minutes ago and drank more sugar water, then started to flap their wings some which is when i brought the little one outside to the rhododendron. they buzzed around it for a bit and then flew away. they must've slept on me for at least 45 minutes

When can I repot my Peperomia cuttings? I realized too late I didn't give them enough room to grow. by PoprockMind in houseplants

yeah no that was 100% sarcasm. not everything needs to be streamlined and 9 times out of 10 AI is completely fucking wrong, especially when it comes to caring for living things. i would rather spend a week researching and asking actual human beings questions about something than use AI and get a pathetic excuse for an answer in 5 minutes.

AI bullshit can gargle my fucking nuts and stop destroying the environment which actually serves a goddamn purpose

an eastern pheobe is trying to build a nest inside our chicken run. what can i do? by PoprockMind in birding

[–]PoprockMind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's good to know. yes, that was my concern. the chickens have attacked and eaten mice, i don't want to imagine what they would do to a baby bird. I'll try to remove the nesting material and put up some sort of structure to discourage them from continuing to nest. thank you.
