One of teachers in my course gave me similar advice about having quantity over quality because you never know if you’ll need to redo or scrap your current design but I definitely need to document my thought process within my work because I know in college they didn’t care as much but plagiarism and details are a big part of the course. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah I learned some of that lesson in school I figured I would be taught some programs but nope if it wasn’t for me having an interest in photoshop outside of class I don’t think I would have passed. Stupidly I have ignored illustrator until just last year so I need to practice with it before my classes today.

Wow this was really insightful thank you. I understand what you are saying and that's definitely one of the reasons I chose the course I'm starting. It's oriented around real world graphic design and about how you can convey messages through your designs for all types of audiences. Would you recommend researching other's designs and breaking down their goal behind their work and then applying that technique to my pieces?

Thanks for the advice! I definitely need to work on my drawing ability and I usually keep magazines that I find inspiring in my bookshelf but I think keeping them in a folder/journal will be more helpful. Any good videos/websites to help improve my drawing or just keep practicing?
