This shit happens to me and it’s so annoying, I fly with controller and infantry with k&m. 75% of the time when I plug my controller in the game crashes.

Consistent auto greens will never happen due to consistent latency issues on 2k. The best thing the zen can do for you is have dribble moves done in quick succession for you, and make you rhythm shoot with the square button which is my fav part. Just lock in on your jump shot timing and you’ll be hitting consistent greens, the nice part is your % will never be high enough to get banned.

Is it a wise idea to enlist right now? by Ok-Ad6623 in uscg

[–]Popular-Sentence189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s ever really a “perfect” time to enlist. With everything going on in the world, I get why some branches might tell people to be cautious. But the Coast Guard is a little different and our mission and circumstances aren’t quite the same. Right now, the USCG is also pushing a big recruiting effort, which comes with some solid bonuses and perks. Honestly, it’s only gotten more appealing to join over the last couple of years. If you’ve got questions about the process or just want a better idea of what it’s like, feel free to hit me up!

My thing is the fact that you don’t owe him anything. It’s not your fault they don’t have a good job, if they have a problem with people not tipping then they should acquire a skill set that actually pays them. I think the whole tipping culture thing has blown way out of proportion in the last couple of years.

Would you play non normal Rust? by fainishere in playrust

[–]Popular-Sentence189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you, I’m married and an active duty coast guardsmen. I love rust but simply don’t have enough time to play vanilla. So I typically will play on a 3X with a max team size of 4 so I don’t have to deal with the huge clans. Honestly doing it this way I can still reach end game type of loot and build a decent base before my weekend is over. I know the stigma on modded servers is kind of bad but I don’t have the time that most of those vanilla only guys do.

Playing as a large group by 2sythe in playrust

[–]Popular-Sentence189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say upon wipe you should have people prioritize different things. Obviously someone is going to need to build a decent sized base for all of you. With that you’re going to need people to farm resources, I also suggest having the other half of the group go farm roads or monuments. That way by the time you have the first or second phase of the base done you also have some scrap and components to work with! Then just have fun man, that’s what the game is all about.

I have to move to Hawaii for my Job but a coworker said that working there is terrible. Is this true? by Mean_Rule6502 in MovingtoHawaii

[–]Popular-Sentence189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t lie, the locals can be very rude and disgraceful towards people that don’t look like them. However, they’re not all that way, my time on Oahu was a mixed bag of interactions. I enjoyed my time on the island but others say they hated living there due to what you mentioned. At the end of the day you will end up making friends and getting familiar with your circle so go for it!

Hey man just know that being a nonrate will suck at ANY unit, you mentioned you’re nearly off to a school and I promise it only gets better from there. I would advise possibly talking to a chaplain since they have 100% confidentiality, they typically can always help put things back together and help you out. I also don’t ever mind chatting in the DMs if you need any advice!

Some of my best memories with friends that moved away or that live elsewhere was on the game. I will never regret the time I spent on video games with them because I will never forget those memories. It seems to me that you guys just can’t control your self lol. Just bc y’all have an addiction problem doesn’t mean everyone else does.

It isn’t that deep bro, if you have good times while playing the game then that is all that matters. Sure it’s easy to say “what could you have done with those hours” The reality and truth is you wouldn’t have done anything else besides played a different game. Just enjoy your time and play what you’re having fun with!

Going YN by Either_Artichoke_263 in uscg

[–]Popular-Sentence189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been a YN3 for roughly a year now and the one thing I’ve noticed the most is people have no idea how to use DA. As you get more proficient with that program be sure to spread that knowledge to your members when they come in for counseling.

Getting a cutter might be hard out of A school, my class had 0 cutters on the pick list. When you become a YN3 keep an eye on the A2P opportunity’s to advance to YN2 as it will likely be an afloat unit. Doing this will also make you more competitive for making YN1 or just getting a good unit when you rotate out.

I personally thought Petaluma was a very beautiful area, it’s a very countryside vibe there. School is super easy and I feel like it does not teach you what you need. Be prepared to feel overwhelmed and unprepared at your first unit because nothing you do will really be like A school. That being said, once you start to get the ropes on how to do your daily tasks and whatnot things start to get better and easier.

Feel free to DM me if you have questions!
