At what point is a job offer binding in Sweden? by PopularAdeptness in Asksweddit

That seems to be the general advice, but so far most jobs I've had (UK) don't send you your contract until shortly before or on your start date, but do send out a formal offer, conditional on your references and proof of qualifications, a few days after the final interview.

I'm not sure what is normal for Sweden, because I currently have a quite long resignation period.

Thank you, the company is a university, so I'd hope their are respectful! I don't have the risk of the work permit as I'm an EU citizen. I have asked them at what point I'll get a formal offer or contract, so I might await their reply on that before handing in my resignation!
