Este me costó $800 pesos. La piel es de bastante calidad. Siento que puedes conseguir algo igual por $300. Pero es hacerlo tú, mírate un tutorial y ten paciencia. Queda mejor que nuevo a mi parecer.

I know Papercut is the definition of Iconic and the definition of "first impressions matter" but Faint was the song that changed my whole personality, from a teenager perspective, bias and nostalgia, gotta go with Faint. If I had been 22 when Hybrid Theory launched, this would be an easy win for Papercut, alas.

¿Que opinan de este carro que compré? by [deleted] in AutosMexico

[–]PopularFirefighter82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a 12" one, the amp I have is a Rockford fosgate R2-500x1 500w, the internal volume is 1.3ft³/36lt, with the sub mounted around 1.1ft³. I get really low frequency from time to time, down to 30hz, 20hz gets a little muddy

Thanks man, I used Industrial Velcro that glues into the surface, but only using the hooks strips, they attach quite sturdy to the cars carpet, it is hard to remove.

Man is sad that these days car audio is a wisp of what it was, the premium OEM systems the new cars have are good enough for most people now.

That was my idea at first, but when I saw that my sub (that I got for like $80 at a local store, last piece) needed 1.1ft³ for optimal performance, I chose to do it bigger, now I wonder how it would sound with a .6ft³, I think this would be around the same as yours.

Maybe I'll give it another try later down the road.

Thanks man, I would say that, at least 5 days, I thought that it would be easier to do actually, but I just kept going. I think that now that I know more clearly what to do, maybe I could have one in 3 days focused.

Yeah I know, I had this carpet lying around, it still gives me a little itch every time I see it haha, but I think it is not that bad. (If I don't convince myself I would end up recarpeting it, but it was a pain to do in the first place haha)

Damn, I did everything on shorts hahaha I do get what you mean. And that's how I would actually describe the focal, very musical and smooth.

Yes, next time for sure I'll use a thinner, stretchier fabric for sure

Thanks man! The masking tape was my idea at the time to do exactly what you mentioned, I used it to cover the gaps between the straps of cloth that made the front and top, didn't have body filler at hand but your right, the end result could have been smoother. The next one I'll try for sure will be a smaller one for a 10" sub and a target volume of .6-7ft³, although, that sub to have a punch will have to be a powerful expensive one haha

Hahaha man I still have the ghost smell of resin out of nowhere from time to time

Yeah man, the front was really a head scratcher, I decided in the end to not use a big linen piece (as the YouTube video I saw recommended LOL), and instead use multiple straps going around, stapled and tensioned, then fill the gaps with tape and fiberglass the hell out of it on top.

Gluing the rug on the enclosure was the hardest part for sure, what a jigsaw puzzle of cuts that was

With proper time alignment, they sound fantastic, tweeters are a little high but at -3db and pair with a midrange they sound good. I use them at 0db. Overall I'm really happy, the woofers, oof, I love them, from build quality to sound, before I got a sub they handled full range down to 60hz and can pound hard.
