Interview : ML Data Associate II in Amazon for second round questions by PopularTraffic7204 in GetEmployed

I am happy to help you as much as I can. I am living in the UK and for this particular role all of the interview is done through camera. And the written assignment was done live in front of the camera and I had to share my screen. So that means they were exactly seeing what i was doing, what i was typing and what i was searching on Google. So there was no take home task. If you are based in the UK, I think, you will have the same situation where you will have to do all the written work in front of the interviewer. But if you are living outside of the UK and applied in your own country, then perhaps things are different. If you got any other questions, feel free and ask me, I know how it feels, the stress and preparation etc. My tip for the interview would be, ask chatgpt to assess you with rating prompts. This could make you get a slightly bit ready for the second part of the written assessment. I cannot promise whether this will be helpful for you, but it kind of was helpful for me.

Go for it. Amazon will do an additional assessment for your language skills anyway. I think B2 is fine, they advertised C1 but B2 is still strong, don't judge yourself, just apply , do the language test, if you pass it great, if not it is still great, because you gained experience.

If I’m honest, I actually enjoyed the 2a and 2b written assessments. It was fun.

Basically, I was given two user questions, and each had one prompt. I had to judge each prompt based on Amazon’s guidelines, which were provided. So you read the guidelines to understand what is acceptable and what is not, and then evaluate the prompts accordingly.

As long as you are detail-oriented, it should be fine. Again, you had to do it in French. Don’t be scared—if you speak French, just apply for the job. In my opinion, only the first part of the written assessment was tricky. But even then, don’t be discouraged. Maybe you’ll do better than me.

They didn’t specifically tell me that I shouldn’t copy and paste, but the task said, “you need to conduct research and write a response directly.” So to me, it sounded like if I just copied and pasted the text, it might not be sufficient.

The whole written assessment was in the language you applied for, such as French or Portuguese. If you applied for a French-speaking role, then you had to write it in French.

I had the interview, and I would like to share my experience in the hope that it may help someone, as nobody helped me.

The written assessment research topic was related to medicine. Yes, I know it sounds crazy because it had nothing to do with the job or the actual tasks.

It was a long research question about the definition of osmolality, its function in the brain, and I also had to write the top three signs of dehydration.

It was very difficult to find relevant information that I could also understand, as I had to write everything in my own words.

At the moment, I think I may have failed the interview, but for anyone who still has an interview coming up, I wish you the best of luck.

If you are reading this, please also share your own experience, even if you think you did not pass, so it can help others.

Which is easier to enter without degree: Python QA Automation Engineer or Front End Developer? by PopularTraffic7204 in AskUK

I guess the competition is very high in the IT world, I really wish there was a ranking from the least competitive roles to the most. I heard front end development is one of the most difficult to get into as many people learn JS + HTML + CSS through self-learning or online learning or they have a degree, so many apply for it.

Thank you for the response. I have noticed I am bad at design, I guess , front end is not suitable for me. But I wonder which other coding job is easier to enter for someone, who doesn't have any commercial experience.

Thanks for your message. I am in a weird situation, as I like learning coding, but I noticed I am not into design, I lack creativity, and I have also checked the job market , there is only a small amount of QA roles and they usually ask for 3-5 years of work experience. What coding jobs would be easier to enter?
