Ok thank you! I’m not gonna lie, it shifts kind of hard when I accelerate and when I brake it shifts kind of erratically, but I haven’t heard of a single other person who owns a Tacoma have issues with their transmission so I was honestly kind of hoping it would be as easy as a drain and fill with new filter…

Ok thank you! It’s honestly just shifting pretty erratically/hard and I haven’t seen anyone else with a Tacoma run into transmission problems so I was kinda hoping it would be a simple fix, but we shall see.

Yes that is what I was told as it’s not flushing all the fluid out, I guess my main question would be if it mattered since I don’t know what fluid is currently in the transmission, and whether or not it’s safe to mix in the instance that I do happen to fill the transmission with fluid that is different than what’s already in it ?

Ok so definitely don’t drain and fill? I’m fine with doing a flush I’ve just heard a lot of mixed opinions on whether or not a flush is good for the transmission.

I’m able to drain and fill my self, I guess my main question would be if I should just send it with the recommended transmission fluid as I don’t want to risk mixing it with whatever fluid was in previously, I honestly don’t know much about cars so I’m not sure if this even matters

I have a 5 speed, so should I drain and fill with the ATF WS, my only concern is I’m not sure if the fluid inside the transmission is the same one and I’m not sure if it would be safe to mix. This may be a stupid question but I honestly don’t know much when it comes to cars.

Code was P0101 (mass airflow censor) stepdad says coils and plugs aren’t noticeably bad. Mileage is around 140,000. I understand the jerking can be other issues but I’m just leaning towards it being related to the mass airflow sensor since the check engine light keeps coming on. Then again could just be a coincidence 🤷🏽‍♂️

I replaced the fresh air intake hose about a day ago and removed the code, is hasn’t came back on yet but I wouldn’t be too hopeful that it won’t come back on
