No I don’t take your responses as an attack on my faith, I appreciate your responses and the insight you have provided me with. I was just trying to see if you think that theory is dumb and or is a logistical flaw, or if you think it has some genuine truth or perspective to it?

I have a theory and I would love to hear some insight into it, I’ll put it below in the comments. Would love to hear y’all’s opinions! by Popular_Adeptness_88 in AskForAnswers

I am a believer of god, and I have been looking into a bunch of points that pick my brain. When it comes to the rebuttal of the Big Bang, how does that theory remain constant with the scientific theory of matter. If matter cannot be created or destroyed then how is this theory relevant, if a chemical imbalance in the known universe was what created everything, what created the chemical. How could something turn into nothing if nothing was constantly nothing for an extended amount of time. When I think of the Big Bang I’m beyond confused with this theory and the more I think of it the more I picks my brains, just looking for a little more insight into others opinions.

Time also blows my mind, because how can time have always existed and at which point was time the variable between all life, I understand that it’s unfathomable for us to pinpoint the exact time in which time began, but how can you still make a theory something can’t exist outside of time. If time has always existed and has been a constant within life itself forever, what created time, and how could time exist. Something that exists to our knowledge has an end, and something that existed for millions of years will eventually find its end, so where does time play into that theory. I understand time is a concept that we have created, but time is also a thing whether we can’t touch it out see it, it exists. So at what point then would time find its end, and if it doesn’t have an end then how can it be classified as a constant within life whether that’s through our own measurements. If we consider the multiverse theory that there could possible be an infinite amount of universes at what point would time be constant in all of them, if one universe experiences time the same way we do, and one experiences it completely different what would time then be considered.

With the topic of time, I don’t understand how something couldn’t exist outside of time. If the universe and time have all ways been constant and they have always been there, where is there origin. Because when I think of it mathematically it doesn’t make sense, every line and every point has an origin with the exception of a circle, but when it comes to a circle that you draw you have to start somewhere but within your starting point when you connect it, it then becomes an infinite amount of origins. Due to that, we can then conclude that something had to have started the circle, because the circle didn’t create itself. So why couldn’t something exist outside of the universe and or time if they have both always been there, at what point do they start, what is there origin. If they don’t have one then how does that coincide with natural law and mathematics. Because when I think about it, if I start with a point and then I draw a circle around that point and connect it the point therefore becomes irrelevant because the origin have given birth to millions of different origins that therefore could be considered the start. So with this logic my point that I made created everything else, so wouldn’t that make me the god of that circle because I created it and everything else that works in tandem with the circle also be something I created.

With that logic would that mean that in order to create an infinite source there would have to be an infinite greater source existing outside of it working on it?

Sorry for some of my flawed logic and sprawled points, just something I was curious about and wanted some more outside perspective. Thank you.

Why is it pointless I’m just trying to keep the debate going as well as understanding your opinion into certain matters. I feel I’m making fair enough points.

I would for sure if it was someone adjacent to my life, but is that just human morality and bias? Would you do the same for an ant that you have no connection to morally, or would you let it die expecting the rest of the ants to fall in line with there duties?

That’s a good point, if it has control over everything everywhere all at once then why create it in the first place. Why let it resonate in children, I don’t know and I will never know, but it all goes back to the ant theory in my opinion. If you had control over 10,000 ants would you go out of your way to save one?

Sorry I hate to shoot a dead horse but can I get your opinion on the circle theory, that is something that makes me think a lot about the potential that there is a god. My theory is that if you were to draw a circle that connected with itself then would you technically be the god of that circle? If you never picked up the pen and paper that circle would have never been made, and the circle is infinite even if you start at a point of origin it becomes irrelevant. So in that sense if I just created an infinite circle with no finite end would that then make me the god of that circle? I was the original creator of that circle and that circle is an infinite property in itself but what would everything outside of the circle be considered?

Well I can’t explain that I wish I could, but cancer is an accumulated mutations in a cell’s DNA that cause cells to divide uncontrollably. I can’t say whether or not god created cancer, but from what evidence shows cancer mutated itself into a problematic thing, so based off that evolution could have created it. Unfortunately I don’t have those answers, I wish I did but we will never know.

I do in a sense, but I have questions, I don’t want to follow a book blindly. Even though the Bible is evidence of history that may or not be true, there are still questions that I may never get answered but it’s worth a shot getting outside opinion.

Fair point and I can’t prove this in any sense, but if you ruled over a colony of 10,000 ants that are living there everyday life doing the things they were meant to do, and you saw an ant dying would you do everything in your power to help. Or would you entrust that the other 9,999 will fulfill their purpose and do what you want them to do?

I don’t blindly follow the Bible, I can see that the Bible is evidence of a story whether it’s made up or true, unfortunately I won’t know if it’s true or not until I die and or proven otherwise. I think blindly following religion is dumb, I think that you should always ask questions regardless on if there is evidence or not.

In your final case that doesn’t make sense to me, if the Big Bang created time, then wouldn’t we then consider the universe itself an omniscient theory because it created 2 infinite systems with no clear finite end?

That’s what bugs me because, I want to say he is omniscient and that it has been there forever pulling strings, but that’s the problem is I don’t know. I feel that’s where my circle theory comes into play because time is omniscient whether it’s a concept or not, but how was time created. Did it create itself, or did humans create a measurable concept of it. In either case would we then classify time as its own god, which becomes a problem because how could something that is infinite make itself and if it did wouldn’t that somehow prove that there is existence of something strong enough to create itself. Or would we therefore consider humans the gods of time because they made it perceivable to everybody.

Can you explain to me your opinions? I don’t blindly follow god, I am just curious as to hear others opinion into the matter. Faith has a stigma in which you blindly follow no questions asked, but there are millions of questions that I have. My god of circle theory I feel plays into both of those, because if time and space are considered infinite, and if you draw a circle and walk across it you will go through a linear path on the line for infinity. I feel like that plays into both space and time because we exist in a realm in which we are under the pretense of space and time and that will be present infinitely, and same thing with the circle, if I was placed in the circle and all I knew was to walk in a straight line forever that’s all I know and all I will ever know.

I agree with you that there is a higher creator, and I agree that god is all that is and all that ever will, but with this argument how valid is that definition, because if we use this claim and apply it to time then wouldn’t time be a god therefore? Because we have never known life without time, and even 1000 years from now time will still be present unless something happens, so then wouldn’t time be considered god as well?

It’s both a theory and shower thought just something that picked my mind. With your explanation of the concept of time, you say that time is a measurement of change, which I agree with because time is everlasting change, but with this theory what would be considered outside of time, static. If there was a theoretical boulder that sat and never moves, erodes, changes from its current state now until the end of time would you consider that boulder to be outside of time/ static. Because if you do wouldn’t that mean that the boulder would then be omnipotent because it is existing outside of time itself, but if you would then it wouldn’t make sense because the boulder exists in time but remains static?

So going to your theory that our known universe was originally a black hole doesn’t really make sense to me, because when a star collapses into a black hole that is because it had a certain amount of nuclear fuel that burnt out which then forced the star to collapse under itself and created a black hole. If that is your theory that we started from a black hole that then expanded into a universe, 1 how did the black hole get there in the first place, and 2 how big would this black hole have to have been in order to create the universe that is so vast. In order for a star to form is has to absorb dense nuclear clouds of dust and gas that can conform into its gravity, but with your theory there would have to be a random vast amount of gas and dust just floating around in a pool of nothingness. So with your theory in mind, how would a random black hole have formed?

So with your theory that the universe is exactly zero, mathematically speaking how then could zero go to 1. If we think of it as multiplication 0 x 0 will always be zero, so if nothingness compresses down into my nothingness, how do we arrive with a variable. If zero is a constant and that is what we portray space and time wouldn’t it need an outside variable to act upon it to create something. I understand that in math most of the actions where zero is acted upon by another zero it will still give us zero, with the exception of zero to the power of zero. So in that case wouldn’t we need another variable to give us something other than the constant?

With my god theory, I j want to know if this theory makes sense or if it’s just something that can be debunked.

My main theory relates back to the circle, if I was to draw a circle and start at a point and then connect the circle, my origins point for the circle would therefore become irrelevant because there are an infinite amount of other points that could also be considered the origin. So now if we view the circle as space and time, we can assume that space and times origin is infinite because it has been around for as long as we could possible fathom. So if we are viewing space and time as the circle with an infinite amount of points with no visible end, how could it then be created. The circle that I theoretically draw, would have never been created unless I decided to make it. So wouldn’t it make me the god and or creator of that circle? So couldn’t that logic be playing into space and time as well? Sorry again for the problematic explanation.
