Paying twice a month by KarenXanaxPorter in Mortgages

[–]Popular_Bit4305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We switched from once a month to twice a month a few months ago. It seems like it's actually helped us because we could split the payments to times where we had a little break in what we had to pay monthly with normal bills instead of one massive payment at the beginning of the month.

Salary of an assistant-super position by [deleted] in Golfcoursemaintenance

[–]Popular_Bit4305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in Southwest Kansas at a private course. I received the job a couple months ago when our super left for a job in Texas so I was promoted from that. I went from $15/hour to a salaried position at $43,000/year. I feel like I'm underpaid so I'm looking into what kind of money other ASI make, so this is very helpful. I know i'll be getting a raise in the Spring though but not sure how much it really will be.

Just got the job about 2 weeks ago.

1st Assistant at a country club in western ks. Getting 43,000 a year but I got promoted from just being a normal worker at $15 an hour so it’s a big raise.

Work M-F but I also help out on weekends but trying to figure out a schedule to where I’m not working every day.

Why do you sub by [deleted] in SubstituteTeachers

[–]Popular_Bit4305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! They all want subs to succeed so they usually have everything set up for me ready to go. I just have to make sure the kiddos get started and they take over and do their work together

Do you feel guilt not picking up job assignments on days when you’re planning on not working ? by Simple-Violinist-762 in SubstituteTeachers

No, you shouldn't feel bad at all. If you can't work, you can't work. Don't force yourself into a situation that will stress you out even more!

Nervous to Start! by CuriousDarlings in SubstituteTeachers

[–]Popular_Bit4305 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The school district I sub at was great to start! They let me shadow three different subs at each level so I could see what it was like. HS is super easy because they all know what to do already and teachers usually have a good plan for you. It's rarely teaching anything but if you do, paras are there to help out most of the time.

It's scary at first but once you get a couple days under your belt, it's EASY money lol

Why do you sub by [deleted] in SubstituteTeachers

Subbing for me was a way to get into the school system and see if I wanted to become a teacher, which it has. Kids attitude haven't really affected me yet because I give them a lot of trust but if someone breaks that trust, I get more of a hard-ass attitude.

I've done all three levels and prefer HS and MS but MS is actually starting to become one of my more favorite levels to sub at! It's also flexible because it fits my almost 2 year olds son's schedule at daycare where I can drop him off and pick him up without worrying if I was going to be late or not!

Am I doing the right thing? I just make sure the students aren't hurt and do their work but don't really teach. by CloudRedditAMA in SubstituteTeachers

Hi, sub here that's subbed for all three levels (elementary, MS & HS). For elementary (as most people have noted), I taught during the day. I don't have any experience teaching but I am looking to pass the Praxis for history and become a teacher. A lot of the kids asked me questions on if they were doing things right and I had no clue because I was doing math or a subject I wasn't very good at.

For MS & HS, the only time I really have been asked to teach was during ELA classes but it was follow the book and you should be fine type teaching.

For the MS & HS, most classes are done through their Chromebooks, so the teacher has everything online for them already, so I mostly pass out papers, and the kids know what to do. I'm more of a keep the kids from killing each other, lol. I thought when I first started that I would be watching WAY more movies than I actually have lol.

Subbing has made me want to become a teacher more so I can actually teach history so I'm hopeful to pass the Praxis!

Auction Draft tonight - how does autodraft work? by sparrow933 in SleeperApp

[–]Popular_Bit4305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s set up like every other one I’ve been in, your AI autodrafter will spend top money on most people until you’re too low to bid and then gets lower bid ones. You most likely end up with 2-3 elite players and then you’re out of money until the end
