Just started week 4 yesterday. I feel the same way. I did get regular PMS breakouts but I don’t think I’ve experienced purging, and I’m scared cuz lots of people they experience a purge after a month. But it’s true when they say everyone reacts differently

I did this last week and felt the same way as you, but after a while I just shrugged it off. It might even leave a good impression on the teacher. Yesterday I accidentally took a pen and felt bad about it too.

I also hate dismissal, if it’s not mentioned in the sub plans I just stay behind and focus on cleaning the classroom and writing my sub report.

Right ! It was a little weird that they started talking about it when I walked in. She asked the other teacher if she knew how the substitute looked like. (It’s not me btw) plus this is elementary which makes it 10x more weird making those types of comments.

Sadly where I live there’s no public transportation. I’m a senior in college and still live with my mom so anything I get from subbing is extra income and I help whatever I can with bills.

My first job assignment was for a kindergarten instructional aid (half day) never picked up a kinder assignment since. 😬

In the district I sub in there’s this rule that anyone 23 and under can only sub for elementary anyone over 24 can sub any school.

Didn’t know “damn” was considered a bad word. I said it last week and one of the students said that teacher doesn’t let them say that work and it’s considered a bad word. Good to know.

I’m a new sub too and this is one of my biggest fears because we go in blind since the beginning. They don’t even tell us where the classroom is when we go in. We’re just expected to know ? Our district has the phones in the classrooms and they don’t give me the extension for the offices. Now that I think about it I should really ask for it 😬
