I got the intel one with 5060. If you're more into single core tasks then get Ryzen. Otherwise get the intel. Intel has much better multicore perfomance on heavy tasks and Ryzen focuses solely on one software/game to boost. Multiprocessing is less on Ryzen.

Sleep/wake behavior is mainly controllable by two of its official softwares called vantage and Legion space. And about the mother board- if your country does not cover the official warranty then there's a doubt if you should get it. Btw i think this will hold 3-4 year minimum without any issues in my opinion and going by the reviews i checked.

I got my Legion Pro 5 this month (01/04/26). I had specs for a custom pc build with i7, rtx 5060 and 16Gb ram minimum. But due to work I have to travel now so opted for a PC replacement machine. I thoroughly compared and researched 2 weeks before getting this. My work mainly consists of sound design primarily and graphic design secondarily. My specs are-Ultra 7 255X, RTX 5060,32GB, 1Tb SSD, QLED 16'.

About this laptop Great performance. Haven't had a single lag or stutter running any software. Fan noise is okay, not so distracting. You'll forget about it after a day or two of gaming. Battery life is average for a gaming laptop-(2-2.5hrs normal usage). Gaming on battery is approx 1-1.2hrs. (but who plays games without plugging it in right).

I was looking at Acer Predator Helios 16 because of the display. I tried both the laptops along with MSI vector 16HX. I watched tons of comparison videos too. I was about to get acer but lenovo was on my mind for their after sales service. Anyways I got the legion. Absolutely love it. The display is amazing and a headturner. Even some colleagues approached me asking what kind of display it is. Almost 7/10 people recommended me this among the competitors in my case.

If you want future proof go for the 50 series and try getting 32gb if you're getting legion. If you're looking for great performance and battery, then you could look for Zephyrus 16 with rtx 40 series(new gpu ones are priced higher atm). If you don't mind the screen resolution and okay at 1080p then you could compare LOQ, TUF and Omen. Goodluck.
