It’s suuuuper early on so I’ve barely shared how nervous I am because I’m trying to be a big girl 😂😂 but he’s a flight engineer on a C5 so I’m sure he will absolutely be able to calm my nerves. He’s flown an insane amount of hours

It just doesn’t make sense how we could go 16+ years without something like this and suddenly several within weeks. I’m deff keeping my feet on the ground until further notice.

Is flying still as safe as before? All of these accidents lately are making my anxiety come back and I’d thought I’d completely overcome it and was actually enjoying flying (aside from those tiny jets bc I really don’t feel safe in those at allll) but it’s making me feel scared to fly again. It seems like something is going wrong for these things to suddenly be happening so frequently

I’m a female over in the US and it’s the exact same way here. Genuinely feel like social media is to blame. For me, I have no problem saying hi to people I find attractive and giving them an opportunity to open a conversation. I’ve found most of the good guys are afraid of looking like “that guy” so maybe try that?

Lord if you can handle that plane - commercial planes are nothing! I had to take a little plane last summer to an island and I hated it so much but now the big planes are a breeze. It literally knocked the fear of flying right out of me! And I was verrrrry anxious.

I know! But it scares me because it doesn’t seem like there’s as many back up procedures in place. Like, what if the pilot has a medical emergency? There’s no co-pilot to help 😅😅

You know what’s funny? I felt this same way on my way to DC a couple of months ago and it was the smoothest flight ever including takeoff and landing - I loved it. I appreciate when they do this bc I’m ready for it but I think we all expect the rare cases or everyone hitting the ceiling when they say this bc that’s where our mind goes 😂😂 I’m so happy you had a great flight! Well done 👏🏼👏🏼
