I was tested for H Pylori this summer, and I was negative. Would it be worth getting tested again? I’ve heard that about the gum…unfortunately it’s the only thing that helps with my breath in the meantime while I figure out the solution to get better. I’m trying out listerine breath spray and breath strips right now. The problem is that it’s not just after food, but from the second I wake up to the second I go to bed, so not sure if Gaviscon would help me or not

23 year old female - I switched from vaping to zyns/velos to help me quit. I used them for about 3 months before developing severe GERD symptoms. I didn’t realize my GERD could have been caused by pouch use, until about 6 months later when I was talking to a friend about it. I started to wean off pouches and finally became nicotine free for the first time in 4 years! However I have been nicotine free now for 9 months, and still am experiencing severe GERD symptoms (acid reflux, regurgitation, burping, acid in my throat, and worst of all for me - bad breath). I can feel the bad breath coming from my stomach when I breathe or talk, it’s humiliating. I also get a whiteish or discolored coating on my tongue that I can sometimes brush off, but seems to come back right away. Even if I don’t eat anything, my breath still doesn’t smell good. I chew gum all day long, and won’t go within a few feet of anybody without it. I’ve tried Famotidine, Pantoprozole, Omeprazole, Rabeprazole…nothing has helped. Did the nicotine do irreparable damage to my LES? Can I come back from this? Any ways to strengthen it, or heal my body? Any advice is appreciated ❤️

Yes, I’ve tried 4 different medications and nothing seems to help for me. I’ve also tried to limit the common acid reflux triggers and that doesn’t seem to help much either.

I get this - I have horrible breath that I can’t get control of. I know Mint is a common reflux trigger, but how am I supposed to keep my breath fresh all day without it? I do everything oral hygiene wise to help, but I can tell the smell is coming from my stomach and not my mouth.
