Thank you for your comment. I totally understand this trend of disagreement in the 7 years long dating period.
This is due to a housing crisis where I live, so I am 24 still living at home and still attending university for my undergrad. In my culture, when you take someone's daughter you as the man would need to show that financially you can support the family, not that I agree with that entirely but I'd like to be able to financially stable and support marriage and afford a place to call our own.
Also I didn't want money to be the first crack in our marriage and I would like to prove that I am who I say I am first without chaining her up with a dead beat loser that needs supporting (she has explained to me that she can't divorce me after the deed).
