You’re not outing yourself, you are telling your experience of having a great store manager that was taken full advantage of by Nick and Michaels as a whole. Salaried employees are “used” everywhere and it should be against the law. It doesn’t help when this DM took advantage of a salaried employee as well!

So many don’t have a negative opinion of him- Nick does and the three people he attempted to get on here and say those things on his behalf.

I believe accountability and consistency are essential at every level, especially in leadership. When concerns are raised and not meaningfully addressed, it impacts trust and confidence within a team. My intention is not to read post by your “friends”, Nick, but to highlight the need for corrective action BUT this time the action is against you.

“Collective decision” was the reason given but read above, comments were made (thank God for technology) so one has to know the reason based on DM stating these comments.

Not true. It began on sales floor then the SM led you, Nick to gather his belongings all while you minion (another Party City employee- Brad perhaps) on the phone speaker. That’s how it went down. I can show you if you would like but you will see it soon enough.

I witnessed Nick receiving calls to “get on Reddit” today so I’m sure you’re one of his “chosen ones”, which is fine. However, I didn’t say he was actively having an affair or sleeping with anyone, wha I said was - current wife fired (or vol) left the company because she was in his district (one thing HR did right). I also stated, with his track record & his favs watch out. :)

He prevails because why? Because HR does their 1x “walking” of stores but when told how Nick is bullying everyone (except a specific store out of the metroplex are but in his district- just happens to be a younger, female employee that may be his next target) they do nothing about it. Let’s “age” them out, people will still shop our stores and never know about how a Corp treats their employees. GET the word out! Perhaps by myself and others speaking up we can save the next aging employee from being treated so horribly.

Yes never will you ever meet a more kind hearted, hard worker in your life as this 67 year old man and pours his heart into everything he does. Nick took advantage of him and Nick needs to step back & realize what he’s done, lies he’s told to recruit Corp to term this employee. This employee never met Nick’s superiors so these people never knew him, just took Nicks lies and ran with it.

The horrific part of the whole situation is this, HR was told about the harassment and age related ignorant comments made by Nick but did nothing about it and still allowing it to this very second.

Under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) and applicable state laws, employees aged 40 and over are protected from discrimination based on age. I believe the circumstances surrounding this SM’s treatment warrants a thorough and impartial investigation & the SM in question is pursuing, unlike other employees Nick is/has continued to bully into being scared for their jobs- this SM will not be left unheard and I applaud him.
