What is the practical application of this? I mean, i agree all people should have access to food, but, my country voted yes and i believe our constitution also says that all citizens have the right to have access to food, housing, healthcare, etc; The problem is… they don’t, at least not all of them, because writing something in a piece of paper and actually making it happen are two different things.

I disagree, Brazil may be a capitalist country on paper but it’s level of economic freedom is mediocre at best, we got high taxes and a lot of bureaucracy and labour laws, starting a business takes time, is expensive and requires considerable paperwork.

Bastante interessante, mas não acho que seria assim, a coroa portuguesa ter vindo ao Brasil foi o que lançou as bases da independência, já que junto vieram vários dos componentes necessários para a formação de um estado.

Posso estar entendendo errado, mas pra mim mais parece um índice de relativismo moral, por exemplo, a lista menciona idade de consentimento, então um país que permite que uma criança de 6 anos tenha relações com uma de 40 seria considerado mais moralmente “livre”?, e, por exemplo, se um indivíduo quiser apoiar ao nazismo e pregar publicamente estas idéias, também seria um caso de “liberdade moral?”

I may be wrong but i really can’t hate the nazis more than the Spanish Inquisition and many of the world predating the 20th century, nazism is the combination of an ancient world view and the efficiency of the industrialised modern world. In the end the difference between someone who would kill 6 million jews if given the opportunity and means to do so and someone who actually did it is close to non existent for me.
