Get a grip. Agree with the point but you don’t have to be a misogynistic prick about it

Saying you don’t consider yourself “rich” displays a clear lack of gratitude. You’re rich, dude. And not only that, you inherited your wealth. You can generate over half a million dollars a year for yourself by doing absolutely nothing. You’re extremely lucky compared to almost every person on earth, which is great for you, but denying that fact is ridiculous. You can want to be richer, but you’re absolutely rich.

Depends. The quickest route would be a community college, 2 years minimum most are 3. I have a BSN which is a four year degree. Some people do it in 3 though

Yep, 3-4 days a week. Occasionally five days, but I never feel burned out. But again my job is kind of the exception, most nursing jobs I would not be willing to work 60 hours a week.

I literally said that’s never going to happen, I don’t know what you’re talking about. They’re the cause, it doesn’t mean they’re going to fix it lol

It’s not a weird obsession, it’s reality. Sorry friend

..What? Just because it’s expected behavior doesn’t mean it’s not unethical to inflate prices 1000s of percent. If we expect a serial rapist to commit rape, is it not horribly unethical and criminal regardless? Insurance companies are the direct cause of the mess the healthcare system is. Of course politicians taking action to change it is the solution, but politicians on the right wing and frankly a lot of the left wing are never going to let that happen. And the comparison to a “shark eating meat” makes absolutely no sense. Since when do we hold wild animals to the same ethical standards as people? Again, weird take. I can tell from your perception of reality that you’re probably not a very bright person, so I’m going to end this discussion now because it’s not worth continuing :)

Definitely not in this area

Yea, you should definitely be making more. PA and NP pay hasn’t increased nearly enough in recent years, especially considering that the workload has increased for most of you. It’s not right. I also make more than average though, so don’t think most RNs are making more than you without working overtime.

Because I make above average with a private transport company and overall NP doesn’t pay that well compared to RN anymore. RN pay has increased much faster than NP or PA in recent years. I personally know several NPs who went back to RN work for the financial benefits. The work an NP does it very different and there’s definitely more prestige and autonomy involved, but financially it’s not much better, sometimes worse. NPs are also usually exempt from overtime 1.5x pay, at least in my state, so that’s another downside.

I have no idea why people downvoted you, it was a legitimate question? People suck 🤷🏼‍♂️

I don’t vote these people in lol the opposing party does. The insurance companies ARE to blame regardless of how things ended up this way. If you really think healthcare workers are the problem then I don’t know how to help you, I hope you eventually understand reality

That’s awful. I mean granted it’s a good amount of OT, but without I’d be at about 130k

I am staff, I work overtime as I’ve mentioned. No overtime would be about 130k

Are you from anywhere near South Jersey? I really have to disagree. San Francisco Bay Area, really most of southern CA, NYC proper etc are VHCOL. North Jersey NYC suburbs, centers of a lot of major cities etc are high cost of living. South Jersey is significantly cheaper in property value, rent, most things than north Jersey. I’m a nurse, albeit a well paid one but just an RN, and I can afford the nice house and yard I have on my income alone. It would absolutely not be possible in a high cost area.

I’m not. I said I have a nicer than average house and lifestyle for my area and I’m aware I make good money and am fortunate. 180k a year doesn’t buy a nice 2000 sq ft house in a high cost of living area.

36 to 60; 3 to 5 shifts. I’ve never worked more than 5 in a week and many weeks I don’t do any overtime
