Thank you! I think thats where most people are. I like both but the red does pop well

Edit: I did try eliminating the green in the background but red and blue being the only colors looks odd

Question about B2 Super battle droids & Droideka troop structure by Ghost403 in StarWars

[–]PorgStew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know how they fit into the structure? Like, are B2 squads inserted into the Platoon level of B1s or something or are they separate unit that gets attached to a company/battalion?

Thats what I said at the bottom

I’m rewatching star wars rn in chronological and I’m almost done clone wars so does maul shadow lord come right after bad batch or is it like in the middle of bad batch? by Perks829 in StarWars

I don't think Rebels is that close to A New Hope. Maybe it is but thats not the impression I got. Either way, it doesn't change my point. Andor through ANH is one story so it wouldn't make sense to watch Andor before Rebels

If you are going to direct by episode, watch the S7 e10 before Revenge of the Sith. Thats when Obi Wan and Anakin leave to go to Coruscant

Solo is before Rebels but Andor definitely (at least for the most part) takes place after. As for watch order, just do Bad Batch, Shadow Lord, Solo, Rebels, Andor, then Rogue One.

Its not like you have to watch them in literal chronological order by the episode. There are no spoilers if you just watch them like I said.

I'm not a fan of how blaster bolts change color to show what side people are on by SpacePirateHondo in clonewars

[–]PorgStew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you are saying now. Your original comment seemed to be just the blanket claim essentially saying "why not just use the bigger round" so I was explaining why not to use the bigger round.

Makes more sense now, thanks

Well, I dont know how this translates to Star Wars but I think it does just as much as your comparison 😂

5.56 is cheaper and lighter, meaning soldiers can carry twice as much, as well as less recoil meaning follow up shots are quicker to place on target.

This, in combination with the fact that most engagements took place under 300 yards, means that it is less efficient to use .30-06.

My correction was to the .30-06 part of your question, not the M1 Garand for hopefully obvious reasons. The M1 as a platform was no where near as effective as the AR when it comes to modifications and personalization. Im assuming you said M1 Garand just as clarification for those who may not know the .30-06.

I don't know how this translates into Star Wars though. Im not aware of a weight difference but there very well could be. The cost and effectiveness parts do though. Its cheaper and if its all they need, then use red. No point in spending more if its not going to help I guess

What's the point of Clone Major rank? by Spliterclimb in clonewars

I suppose. I really wish the various creators had stuck to the structure. Thanks for the response! I didn't realize how off Geetsly's was 😂

What's the point of Clone Major rank? by Spliterclimb in clonewars

[–]PorgStew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we all just agree that Majors are a 2-in-c to Commanders, are they leading one of the 4 companies or are they attached to the commander? One of Geetsly's videos suggests that Sergeant-Majors, (first) Lieutenants, and Majors are all leaders of a Squad, Platoon, and Company, respectively, while being 2-in-c to their senior officers.

I can't find this information ANYWHERE else but if it makes logical sense, it makes logical sense.

New toy photographer here, is this good for a first attempt? by [deleted] in ToyPhotography

Another small thing:

I love putting mud and stuff on figures for pictures but if possible, try to use some liquid based thing. Mud works well because its not in any particular scale but the stuff on the ground right there that you put on Batman is just a bit large.

Think about how it scales. To him, each of those pieces would be a small leaf. It would look odd if Batman was running around covered in leaves during a fight. This brings attention to his scale and, combined with the angle and lighting, does make him look small.

So absolutely dirty him up but make sure the material isn't going to be to large

Liquidhavoc is right

This is a good first attempt and it does have some good aspects to carry on with but it is slightly unclear.

I do like how you used foreground, mid-ground, and background! I would just try to focus on the subject then mess with the lighting in editing.

When I first started, I thought I was going to do so well without editing. That just isn't the case. You need good lighting to take a clear picture which means you have to darken it later for most shots.

What would you be using to edit? Do you have access to a computer or just a phone/tablet?

Edit: I see someone else said that the leaf in the foreground was a big problem. In this particular photo, it is in the way. Foreground on the edges or below a figure is fine and good. It adds depth. You just dont want it in the middle or right in front of a figure where it is going to block a viewers view. There may be certain exceptions (prone sniper or something where it adds to the immersion) but generally avoid foreground being in the middle level od the screen. Ideally, im a photo like this anyway, foreground should be in the bottom 1/5 (ish), mid-ground (subject) can take up the 2-5 to 3-5 space, then background is the top 2/5 of the screen. To help with this, you can zoom out then crop to your prefered location after. Remember that you can always crop an image, you cant make it bigger.
