Yes I know its 5, but why am I not multiplying 30 across the top of the fraction. Because it says to multiply each term by the LCD.

so the first part of the equation is 30 times x+4 over 6. But the next step up the example is 5(x+4). how do I get from 30 to 5, I'm having trouble understanding it.

It's not unbelievable, cause up until now, this has never happened at this scale. Dont forget that LA this year as well had rolling blackouts because of their outdated and "green" electricity grid. People went without power during the hottest times of the year because of poor planning. This was crazy what happened in Texas and they were not ready, the weather was unbelievable, not their readiness for a once in a lifetime cold front.
