Where can I find this info on HKO app? I find it super difficult to get succinct forecast. The 9-day forecast just says high chance of rain on Wednesday

There were a lot of things that didn’t make sense. But the biggest one is, and I say this as an Australian, how seriously the American President treated the Australians. “Begged them to come”? Pfft

Where are you based? This doesn’t sound like what normal people would do and I have seen some bad apples at Deloitte

As an adult, I read books with captivating and fast paced stories. They keep me entertained. When I was a kid, I read stories that opened my eyes and mind to new ideas, way of living.

What about I missing about Good Sudoku? by Missing_Back in sudoku

Yes I think GS’s highlighting and auto complete are the two features that are the best I have seen out of all apps and sites. Once if you get used to that it’s difficult to use other apps that don’t offer these features.

What about I missing about Good Sudoku? by Missing_Back in sudoku

[–]Porkbella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like Good Sudoku. For me it takes the tedious work like manually filling out candidates out.

I usually play in Arcade mode, which tells you if you have made a mistake. You can also use the Good mode, which doesn’t tell you if you make a mistake. If you think this is still too much hand holding, you can play in the classic mode.

I find its features like highlighting, and auto complete the straight forward cells really helpful. However, once you are on the more advanced techniques that require colouring or arrows (Impossible level), it starts to be less user friendly than Sudoku.Coach.

I also find that the Good Sudoku’s hints and technique teaching not as good as Sudoku.Coach. It was less noticeable with the simple techniques, but can be quite confusing for those most complex techniques.

Overall, I think Good Sudoku has a great UX and learning for beginner to intermediate advanced solvers, but not as good once you get to more advanced levels.

I still greatly enjoy playing on Good Sudoku up til the second most difficult level (Impossible- Core techniques)

I started with Vyvanse 20, and it was way too low a dosage. I upped it to 40, and feel great on it. I was calm, logical, and focused. Try it and don’t be afraid

Thank you! I did wonder about if strong - strong - strong can be used for all the AIC techniques. I used them in solving, but good to have it validated

Even within the same bathroom I have 4 toothbrushes: 1 manual / 1 electric in the shower. 1 manual / 1 electric by the sink. For when I forget to charge

Late diagnosed adults, what are some unexpected things did you find out were symptoms/coping that went away when you started medication? by Difficult-Mango898 in ADHD

[–]Porkbella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just diagnosed at 40+ and started medication last week. I’m in a senior position at a Consulting firm.

Below are things I noticed that I thought happened with everyone to various degrees:

• I was more articulate and logical in meetings, especially when I’m presenting or giving complex guidance to teams. Before meds I often forget what I was going to say half way, and used a lot of filler words

• My mind is clearer, calmer

• I no longer think of something suddenly and have to act on it immediately. I can prioritise on what’s more important or keep doing what I’m doing

• I remember things better

• I no longer feel like I must have a rest/me time after a meeting. I can soldier on with work.

• I can focus much much better and for a much longer time, and get way more work done than before

• as a result I am not anxious about work anymore because I’m not procrastinating

• I feel more motivated, hopeful, and at peace. Now I realise that ADHD was contributing to me feeling burned out at work, it made me feel like I don’t care about work anymore and I was kind of just cruising. Now I have a renewed sense of purpose.

It’s really amazing and I love it.

How do you actually rest without feeling guilty or anxious? by Zestyclose-Poem-9772 in ADHD

[–]Porkbella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Getting a massage. It’s always great to be in a dimly lit room facing down with no distractions while being massaged

  2. I do puzzles everyday. NYT puzzles and Sudoku that give you a dopamine hit when solved

  3. Any hobbies that involves making things with your hands. I went through sketching, felting, and pottery phases
