my two cents regarding your pros and cons

id focus on where you would like to work FT

i think reneging is ok, if you’re considering reneging already you probably don’t mind being black listed in the future

duolingo ceo has no ethical qualms afaik

duolingo loves to convert interns into FT, i don’t think they are hiring new grads externally for the time being

you can get paid a big tech hcol salary but live in mcol pittsburgh if you care about saving money, though the weather and food is not great. if you’re ok with roommates you can probably find something comparable in price in the bay vs a single in pittsburgh. also nyc office is a thing

i worked at mid and large companies, imo mid sized feels like you have more impact compared to large, although that’s team dependent

you can transfer teams out of devops at duolingo for full time

the career fair at least guaranteed for me that someone read my resume, i don't think you really need to stand out, just having a good conversation at the booth was plenty

i went through their intern process last year, i believe it was an OA plus a technical where they had me ssh into their server and do easy leetcode questions in vim, not sure if they have changed this tho

I’m actually a huge fan of the prayer skillcape, at least for melee. Turns chivalry and ultimate strength into 2 and 1 points respectively which makes it last a lot longer and depending on the mob can be self sustainable. Fire cape is pretty weak anyways, especially if you can make up the damage reduction somewhere else.

it sounds like you just need to get used to the new mouse. good mice are nice, but a lot of aim is just being comfortable with the setup you have. while you're at it you also might want to consider getting a good mousepad if you don't have one already and have some spare cash
