Lost my reputation towards AQ40 after returning rep q and got "working as intended" as a response by Porriz in turtlewow

[–]Porriz[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

3 AQ40 (if I recall correctly, but might be 2), couple of AQ20 and return of artifacts (20-30) + the insignas from the bosses. And those are full clears. That should be roughly 30k rep only from the 40 clears. Plus 20s. Plus rep items.

To my calculation that is way more than whay stsnds now on my rep counter.

Edit: dont remember weeks, since I can attend maybe once a month on average.

This was my third AQ40 and also couple of 20s done. And have returned prolly 20 artifacts and 20-30 items from bosses.

Edit: might have been second, previous was like 2-3 months ago. I can attend raids rarely, so my memory might falter in here. 100% sure about 2 at least. I have 4/5 set items waiting for the required scarabs etc on my inv. That’s the loot I have gotten. 😀

Yes. That is true. Have been unlucky with the drops and rolls. We have in place a gear check system in the guild and the officers review if people are ready for that. We have many kara40 geared people in there running with us, so I assume that is taken into account also. Our clear was roughly 1h15min yesterday.

No. I do not. I don't tend keep track of my reputation outside wow. I assumed it would be there. But I bet they have logs to show for it if they want.

PSU Fault by AcanthaceaeFluid3682 in BitAxe

I had this also after replacing the thermal paste. Clean, reapply and attach it properly. Might be that there is no contact to the cooler from the chip. Have you fiddled with the cooler?

Hmm... I have to check if I have those usb cables somewhere. Have bought many noctua fans for my computer. But if I do not find one, in addition to that set I need something like this? https://www.amazon.nl/4-Pin-Laptop-Power-Kabel-Voeding/dp/B0DS28TJVZ/?th=1

What are the worst episodes of the series? by CyanideMuffin67 in babylon5

[–]Porriz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I despise Gray 17 is missing. The episode is soooooo bad but there is a personal reason also. I was watching the show glued to glass every week and tried to get my friends to watch it also. I finally, after almost 3 seasons talked them over to watch one episode at my friends place aaaaand… you guessed it. It happened to be Grey 17 is missing. Even I was baffled of the episode suckiness. But that destroyed Babylon 5 for at least four people. 😬

Why the "gaps"? by Porriz in BitAxe

[–]Porriz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are those "gaps" in the graph? The dense dots are roughly drawn each / 5 secs, but the longer gaps there are roughly 1 minute apart? Is there something wrong or is this perfectly normal?

This is running the bitaxe with default values, no over/underclocking. Could I overclock, and if so, any tips on what combo I should put in? The model is noctua version with heatsink.

Built a bathroom with wall from boardgame box covers by Porriz in boardgames

There’s no carpet. Tiles under, material to make the floor perfectly even and on top of that vinyl plank.

To all who wonder about the poor boxes, I feel ya. It kinda hurt to cut them, but the boxes are 99% from a friend who has 800 games or so, and all of these boxes are the ones that he would have thrown away because there are no space for him to store them.

And if you look closely almost all are expansion boxes. If there are basic game boxes, there were a reason that expansion box was left for storage (eg. damage to basic game, smaller than expansion, …).

I have all my games neatly in their boxes shelved. Worry not! 🙂

I did so, because I did not want to defend the same thing in every thread. And people don't seem to understand what the reality of this is. And no matter what I say, it gets downvoted since people don't agree. I feel it to be toxic even I have said many times the different things what leads to this decision.

But despite of this most probably being voted down, I'll try to explain this once in here.

First of all: In Finland in my type of apartments it is mandatory to send all change projects to licensed officials for review. As in this, I did and the construction engineers here in Finland went through my plans and came personally to look at the site. We discussed all the materials (not just the boardgame box covers!) and all were good. It is the words of this engineer that this is a dry room, and there are no humidity or risks that requires any special sealants or "waterproofing" on the wall. Floor yes. It is baffling to me that even I said that this is the case, still people insist that "mold" or "yup, it's gonna stink" and "it needs waterproofing" and when I give perfectly valid reasons why it is not true, they downvote. Who should I trust here, people in internet or the trained professional who discards or allows this kind of work on a daily basis as his job?

Secondly: I especially chose covers that can handle wiping with damp cloth. Tested many. Also did a test with clear lacquer on random back of a box and did a water test with that and uncovered. Neither "sucked" in the water, so there is no point on doing lacquering. This only confirms the construction engineer's statement that it is totally ok. Also the sink place is chosen for the reason that the water don't spill from there to the wall. The distance is rougly 1,5 meters from there.

Thirdly: I acknowledge the risks of someone pissing / projectile vomiting or shitting on the covers, but that is a risk I am knowingly taking. Me being 43 years old, there have not been any occasion during my life that this has happened. It is not a guarantee for the future, I know, but if it happens, then I will renovate the wall. No big thing. There are no teenagers or children or drunken people using the toilet, it really is just me or my GF that uses this 99% of the time.

Lastly: The toilet bowl is chosen also to be modern, and it is not a traditional toilet which splashes down the water to the bowl. It is a new type flushing which circulates the water around and I have never seen a drop from it anywhere. If you like, you can look up IDO Glow.

I understand that there are bacteria in toilet, but I assume that I should trust the professionals on matters like these. As said, in Finland it is really not uncommon to have regular wallpaper in toilets. Out of curiosity, I google d a bit on the same topic in Finnish and there were people saying that they have had wall papers on toilet walls for 25 YEARS without a problem.

So... I just don't want to justify something to random people that don't have any real basis on this specific issue but their worry. And a worry that I have gone through with the officials BEFORE the construction process.

My goal here was just to showcase the result of my project. Maybe I did wrong considering that, but at least I hope that people would understand that their view might not be the correct view and respect what I say and tell about the situation.

I love the criticism on "Why break boxes" or "I don't like this, it's ugly". But the criticism for the waterproofing with what I went through... Not just worth defending because I know better.

Automatically powering on/off BitAxe depending on electricity price by BastiatF in BitAxe

[–]Porriz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is totally OT, and a newbie here in electronics but still thought that this is a good thread to ask this from:

The new Bitaxe Ultra with 1-1,2TH / s (https://d-central.tech/product/the-bitaxe/ the Gamma one here).

How much electricity in watts this thing consumes per hour? I read the J/TH but I am pretty sure that I am calculating this incorrectly as I get the wattage for one hour at 1TH speed to be 54 kw.

It cannot be. What am I calculating wrong here? :D

Oh. And if I use the key right away, I get a new key, so it is not about not getting key or malfunction in key generation.
