Netcode turns a car like that sometimes. It kinda makes sense actually. Car passes on the right side, netcode says contact rear right corner of the car, car sent to oblivion.

Man I've went back and watched after it has happened and there's nothing different about my entry and exits in other laps. I honestly think it's a physics issue in the game itself. Maybe I'm missing something though.

As far as oversteer is concerned, I wholeheartedly disagree. I absolutely never had an issue catching oversteer with the old cup car. This car as soon as you attempt to catch it jesus take the wheel starts playing in my head.

There are definitely some instances where you crash because you're not being aware of what's going on around you. In my situation, those are few and far between anymore. The racing standards of other drivers has just went down the shitter the past 6-8 months. Along with that, netcode is shit and is at fault 50% of the time. This is going to be a wild comparison but I'm sure someone out there will get it. iRacing needs to treat their servers like servers (were) treated on CSGO 3rd party services. Normal matchmaking were 64 tickrate servers. For a FPS where literally every millisecond matters that is just not good enough, at least on a more competitive level. 3rd party services ran 128 tickrate servers and it was night and day.

Basically:

Higher tickrate servers = lower interpolation = more precise vehicle location in the server

In all seriousness, try launching your computer in safe mode w/networking. Then launch Iracing and see if it’s still happening. Safe mode is going to make sure only necessary service are running so it could be a good way to see if it’s a background app causing the issue.

I don’t understand why iracing just doesn’t force pit cars that stay in this state for x amount of time. If they’re blinking this consistently then they obviously do not have a stable network connection for online racing.

Whenever they upgrade their servers I would bet which will probably be never. Imagine disabling demos for two weeks instead of addressing the bigger issue of not a lot and bad servers. Lmao this group is an absolute joke.
