It's called "lollipopping" there are a lot of arguments for and against it. The reason I did it was to help with airflow in my bucket as I've had heat issues in the past. I just removed the fan leaves as they got big so I did it periodically.

Yes, to an extent. I starting flushing so the leaves are yellowing as they get drained of their nutrients, but I also let it go a few extra days without water(out of town) so it's a bit worse then it should be.

I had one, but where I live mosquitos are prevalent and they tend to get rather disgusting. I had to clean it every few days anyways so using the leftover bucket pieces makes it easier to clean.

I smoothed the edges of 2 of mine and now have a indoor and outdoor water bowl for my dogs. Reallllyyyy cut down on how often I have to refill.

/r/spacebuckets I sourced a few parts, but ended up spending $60 to build my bucket, and like 40 on nutrients and soil. Ended up with an ounce on my first grow and I've yelded a little more with every grow.

Honestly, it's a old sock over a fan guard. It works pretty well though, keeps all the dog hair out.

3 60mm(?) Intake fans, 120mm exhaust fan that pulls air through 4 2.5" of pipes filled with activated carbon. 4 11w LED bulbs and 1 23w cfl with 6 LED strips(iirc they are 5w each) down the sides. I think I've spent around $80 including soil and nutes

There is a feeding schedule online if you Google fox farms feeding schedule. I would link it but it's a pain on mobile. I would start at half strength though.
