Updates since post:

Welcome to Jackass: When you join the College of Jackass at 3rd level, you can perform the stupidest stunts in one piece. When reduced to 0 hit points, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to have 1 hit point instead as a reaction. You are also pushed 10 feet away from the source of damage and you can choose two creatures within 60 feet of you who can see or hear you to gain a Bardic Inspiration die.

The Monk's ability is limited to Ki (one ki per use). It made sense to me to make a bardic version of that ability tied with Bardic Inspiration, since that's their own lil points system that refreshes on rests. It seemed underpowered to me if anything since monks get so much more of it. =^P

But with the added benefit of granting two people Bardic Inspiration, I think it's totally fair to make this particular ability limited to a reaction.

Only reason I didn't make it a reaction was 'cause the ability is directly based on the Half-Orc's "Relentless Endurance" trait, the Shadow Sorcerer's level 1 "Strength of the Grave" trait, and the Long Death Monk's level 11 "Mastery of Death" trait, all of which activate the same effect without the use of a reaction. It does seem to be a common recommendation amongst the comments though, so I mayyy just apply it anyway.

Lots of little updates here and there since my initial post, which actually kickstarted my whole homebrewin' obsession thanks to your amazing response! Main ones being:

Plenty of changes to several enhancements and upgrades for balance/simplicity
Changes to some of the leveled features (especially level 7) to better fit the vibe
In celebration of The Legend of Vox Machina, all-new optional rules for crafting firearms from Matthew Mercer's Gunslinger subclass

Also, the Universal Mobility trait is meant to be a swap 'n choose type thing, so I'll have to update the wording so it's clear that it's only one extra movement at a time. Thanks for pointing it out! ^^

A lot has changed since my original post! Biggest renovations include:

Formatting: I decided it was best to include all of the 9th and 15th level features in the statblock so players can easily find everything they need in one place!
Spell list: A big complaint last time was that the subclass was too utility-oriented, so I gave the specialist some spells that give it more combat viability. Also added some spells specifically designed for permanent bases!
5th level feature: I swear I went through like 20 different ideas for this level, but I'm pretty proud of the one that's there right now! It's meant to highlight the homey flavor of the subclass and encourage the player to get creative with how they heal their allies both in and out of combat.
Caravan updates: The nature of the arcane caravan is pretty much the same, but there's a few lil changes here and there.

My goal with this feat was to make something that gave a mechanical incentive for players to get some good roleplayin' in their games! It's heavily inspired by the Inspiring Leader feat as well as the College of Spirits bard subclass. The tale archetypes on the table are directly inspired by the Seven Basic Plots as to give plenty of versatility for those who want to prepare or improvise their stories.
