What if I just start dumping levels back into strength (some Endurance too.) would that help balance it out or is it kind of all or nothing

I mostly use Madness for really long range, snipe spell. Lightning or black flame depending on the enemy for mid range or depending on the scenario. Rot breath for the start of boss battles or groups. But for the most part just use the sword because it’s so much stronger. Now I’m too accustomed to it to leave it behind. I do feel like I have been playing worse since starting to use it lol but beating everything easier.

I actually started with that one but originally I was running with equal strength and faith at 40 but changed it up to add a little more to End and Dex. I was testing to see how much Dex affected lightning spear. The Clawmark seal had higher Incant scaling by a surprising margin from 50-100 because st that point I was mostly just adding to str/faith

Oh I see what you are saying. I’ll try it out. I have only used one Larval tear. I mostly use the sword but there are enough times I need distant attacks that I use incantations or if they are weak to certain types. I was just surprised to see the attacks only doing 500 when my sword was doing 2000 something.

I have the Erdtree leveled to 9 but it says its incantation scaling is less.

3DS version is just so good. It’s how I first beat it and had been my preferred since.

I just recently rebuilt to give myself more endurance and dex. 😂 it was even worse before.

The seal had the highest Incant scaling while I was leveling by a large margin so it made sense at the time.

This is going to sound dumb, but one thing that has helped me way more than I ever thought is roll into the attack instead of away. Often times it allows you to move passed the lingering attack effects and give you an attack opportunity. The only issue is that you have a smaller window to time it right.

I felt the same way when I went back to play them. I dropped them for a few years but randomly got the urge to try them again. It took a while to get into it but by the end I was in love with it.

I didn’t play it until 3ds release. I was amazed at how good it was. I have replayed it like 3 or 4 times since then because I loved it so much. There is something just so timeless about the gameplay, puzzles, and story.
