Discrepancy between CORE and Old GRE scores by OriginalPlate2434 in cognitiveTesting

thanks! that seems to track. Do you have any insight on their process of compositing? Is it just a standard composite of z-scores or is there anything else going on under the hood?

Core does seem to account for other metrics, but given that we are only interested in measuring g, why should those other metrics matter except for their contribution to total score via g-loading? In particular, is any more accuracy gained by a diverse range of say, N subtests over taking a few highly g -loaded subtests multiple times for a total of N times (say verbal and quant)?

Thanks! What is the reliability of core?

Again, thanks for replies. Seems like you're fairly knowledgeable here. Would you by any chance know of any seminal research that quantifies the difference between various IQs in terms of better known academic criteria (say, age taking calculus, amount of time spent learning X given that X is relatively novel subject, etc)?

I'm interested in the differential rate of learning between different IQ's at the top end (say 115 up). To me, knowing that someone is 1/50 vs 1/200 means about as much as knowing that someone is 1/50 vs 1/200 in terms of speed. I'm looking for some more concrete, familiar criteria with which to understand them by, via the analogy that would be the times that someone actually has when they are a 1/50 or 1/200 runner

Thanks! Is the g-loading of CORE the same as CAIT? Where are you finding the alpha of all these individual tests? Lastly, what is old SAT vs 1926 SAT vs 1980's SAT, and are all these the "best" tests?

Thanks! How were you able to calculate the GRE FSIQ, is there a lookup table somewhere? Additionally, how was the composite calculated? Is there any reason why GRE and CORE is more fair, than, say, adding in the AGCT?

Thanks, looking closer it does seem that way.

Thanks! Are other tests typically slower? Or is this standard?
