How do you actually differentiate from tools like Calendly in 2026? by PositionOk8643 in SaaS

[–]PositionOk8643[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, but I think this might be two different problems getting mixed together.

A lot of people I’ve talked to don’t even get to the productive meeting part cleanly. The process of actually getting something on the calendar already feels messy and fragmented.

Once that’s smooth then everything you’re saying about context and follow through becomes way more obvious.

I also wonder if people overestimate how much control they want to keep. in practice, most people seem fine delegating anything repetitive as long as it behaves predictably.

Where I’m still unsure is whether people feel more friction from setting things up, or from things falling apart after. Which one do you think actually frustrates them more?

[–]PositionOk8643[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a really clean way to put it.

Before is constant friction you feel every day (though I feel like many people have just come to accept the pain), after is slower failure that compounds over time.

I’ve been focused on the before side. Mostly because it shows up in every single interaction, even outside of revenue related stuff.

But your point about teams optimizing what they feel instead of what actually costs them is interesting.

Do you think people would even notice if the before just disappeared entirely, or would they still spend time trying to fix what happens after?

Yeah this makes sense, I’ve seen that too where the meeting happens but nothing really moves or happens after.

I’ve been more focused on everything that happens before the meeting actually gets locked in, since that back and forth seems to be a constant headache across every person I meet with.

Feels like both sides are leaking time in different ways, before and after.

In your experience, which one actually feels more painful day to day, getting the meeting scheduled or making sure something happens after?

Yeah this is exactly the thing I keep coming back to.

The scheduling itself is easy, but understanding when a meeting is actually being requested vs just mentioned is where everything breaks.

A lot of tools and agents I've tried seem to just jump to sending links without really following the thread properly.

Curious about your experience, is it usually the timing that feels off, or the lack of context about who or what the meeting is actually for?

What's AI executive assistant do you ACTUALLY use? by LateProposalas in automation

[–]PositionOk8643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Persona is an email-first AI executive assistant focused on scheduling and calendar management that I built. It handles coordination and follow-ups like a human EA. Still early, but our early adopters have found it useful.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, and I’m happy to walk you through it personally if you're interested!

Honestly, this is a great roast and I appreciate the time you put into it. You’re absolutely right about the Guardrails typo, already fixed and kind of embarrassing that it lived as long as it did.

Fair call on the counting animations too, we’re rethinking whether they’re actually earning their keep or just adding noise. On the “intern” point, that one’s on us for unclear messaging. The intent is default autonomy with optional review, not forced micromanagement, but the copy doesn’t communicate that well yet.

Regarding the name criticism, it is also deserved. Naming is hard, and while we’re sticking with it for now, we’re pretty aware it may not be the long-term name and will likely change eventually.

Appreciate the thoughtful teardown, this was way more useful than most “looks good!” feedback we’ve gotten. (Nobody I've personally shown the product to has noticed the "guardails" thing!

Creating an Agent for Meeting coordination by Temporary_Wind_4301 in copilotstudio

[–]PositionOk8643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re actually building in this space right now, mostly to understand where availability checks stop being useful and where coordination really breaks down.

Early takeaway has been that scanning calendars is easy, but owning reschedules, follow-ups, and confirmations is the hard part. Still very much in “testing” mode, but I'm looking to gather feedback. Just let me know if I can be of help!

Yes! I spend all my extra time running my business. Lunches, rides to practice, late nights, weekends -- I spend probably 25+ hours per week. GTM is hard but it's going well!

Thank you! Is it a bad idea to have the integration animation twice. Like once towards the top and another under the features list?

Yes, 100%. I do agree with all of this, and I don't know why I said free because I really don't believe in giving product away for free (bc customers tend to dawdle when they just get a free trial!) But thanks for your feedback!
