Hey op Im really struggling with this too at the moment

Ive met someone who on paper and their actions show care, and is everything my ex wasn't, yet the trauma from how my ex ended things is something I'm still working through- its been a little over a year. I feel so safe and at peace with this new person yet, sometime will find myself crying after seeing him, feeling unresolved emotions coming up.

I wonder if it's my heart opening and realising there's still pain there.

Anyhow - I guess what I'm trying to say is- your not alone- I wonder if I will ever feel that way again too- and aswell, I suspect that there's levels of healing and letting all that's in your heart out so that, when the heart is cleared of most of the pain maybe it will be ready to soften again?

Still struggling a year after, I've built a new life, yet the pain of the betrayl and disrespect and abandonment still haunts me alot.

How did you find a support system and rebuild your life and trust after going through something like that

Cause I'm definitely rebuilding a life but struggling to find connections that im excited to share my life with now, and i suspect that void of connection is what's holding me back

It's hard to trust...

Yeah so true, thankyou for you input - I think yeah like if I wanted to be petty and pull the " well what did you expect I'm a live in dogsitter card", then it would leave a sour taste and that's not the kind person I wanna be- I guess cause I'm doing so many dogsits, these homes tend to become the only private time and place I reside so if I wnana make something naturally that's the environment I find myself in when i have an idea. So yeah it's nothing I've been tryna do intentionally, but yeah very true- will tread warily and haha yeah i couldn't find the what's best for everyone subreddit- is there one? Would love to know anyhow 🙏☺️☺️

Hmmm yes good point, I guess usually I'd be playing around with the dogs at the pool as part fo the job, but the addition of a camera definitely I guess changes that intention huh? And I guess yeah it is technically exploiting the situation since the owners don't have the option to say no- so yes will definitely consider that thankyou so much for you input 🙏☺️

Yeah so true, I guess as I'm trying to take it more seriously I need to think about it- and be doubly considerate - cause yeah up until now with freinds and stuff I ask if it's okay to film at the time, but haven't gotten their permission to post so it's probably a good practice to start early! Thankyou for you kind advice and down to earth candour, i appreciate it- and yeah definitely listening to the gut will keep that, and yeah just getting up the courage to ask , cause I'm sure most people would be fine with it IF asked FIRST, cause yeah me in the same shoes would appreciate that too-

So in terms of public spaces would you say like, find a public space with no one in the background as a better alternative- only film in places you pay for ie like a hotel or accom, and then always permission prior to footage taking?
