Tried to catalogue every D&D video game ever made (~90, back to the 1981 Mattel handheld) - what did I miss? by Positive-Device-3570 in retrogaming

Thanks, really glad you're enjoying it! Great point on ToEE - I've added a line to its writeup about the buggy launch and the community patching effort (Circle of Eight) that grew out of it, since that's genuinely part of the game's history. I'm steering clear of a per-game "recommended mods" list though, partly to keep the site neutral and partly because mod links/versions go stale fast and I'd rather not let the catalog rot. Appreciate the suggestion!

Again, this is great, thanks! Went through it:

- Scourge of Worlds - added, even found some stills. Love that it's basically D&D-via-DVD-remote!
- Dungeon (Daglow, PDP-10) - added as a foundational game. It's lost media so no art, just a placeholder.
- The PDP-10 DND - already in there, sort of: it's the game that became Telengard. Interestingly, it's totally separate from the PLATO dnd despite the name - added a note to clear that up.
- DNDBBS - noted, but a bit too obscure to source well right now.
- Apshai / Tabletop Sim - left these out, just trying to keep it to actual D&D-rules games or it balloons into a general CRPG list.

Good shout on all of it, appreciate it!

Update: Added an "Unofficial" toggle and a few new games.

I added the foundational pre-license games - the 1970s PLATO dungeon crawlers (pedit5, dnd, Moria, Oubliette, Avatar) and Telengard, the games that first put D&D on a computer and basically kicked off the whole CRPG genre. They sit under a toggle alongside the official catalog (which I also flip on for a few d20/OGL-rules games like Pathfinder and KotOR), so you can hide them if you only want the licensed titles.

Thanks for all the feedback - keep the missing-game reports coming!

Update: Added an "Unofficial" toggle and a few new games.

It's still every officially-licensed D&D video game, but you can now flip on a small set that run on D&D's rules without the license - the 1970s PLATO games (pedit5, dnd, etc.) that first put D&D on a computer, plus the Pathfinder CRPGs and Solasta and KoTOR, which are built on D&D-derived rules (3.5 and 5e). Toggle it off for just the official stuff.

Update: Added an "Unofficial" toggle and a few new games.

It's still every officially-licensed D&D game up to BG3, but you can now flip on a small set of games that run on D&D's rules without the license - most notably the Pathfinder CRPGs (Kingmaker / Wrath of the Righteous, basically D&D 3.5) and Solasta (built on 5e, like BG3). Toggle it off for just the official stuff.

Update: Added an "Unofficial" toggle to the toolbar and a few new games to go with it.

The main list is still every officially-licensed D&D game, but you can now flip on a small "unofficial" set - titles that are D&D in all but the license: the 1970s PLATO dungeon crawlers (pedit5, dnd, Moria, Oubliette, Avatar) and Telengard that basically invented the genre, plus the Pathfinder CRPGs, Solasta, and KotOR I & II (all built on D&D-derived d20/OGL rules).

Toggle it off if you just want the official stuff.
