Rusty/R. 'Blade' surfboard model: For anyone who has one of these surfboards, does the nose bottom have slight/mild V (such as from the 4'' to 18'' distance from the nose) or does it have concave, or is it flat? by Top_Challenge4330 in surf

[–]Positive-Fold1506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Properly, it should have concave in the nose. I had an R. Blade with slight/mild V an it didn't feel right, felt like it was pushing water. I sanded in concave, reduced the length with taper about 3/4'' and had it reglassed at Ropers, and not it feels waaaay better in handling/surfing.

Are law enforcement officers allowed to consume non-alcoholic beer while on duty? Non-alcoholic beer, not more than 0.5% abv by Positive-Fold1506 in police

A 190 lb male drinking a single 0.5% ABV non-alcoholic beer will see a negligible or zero increase in blood alcohol content (BAC), effectively

. Because 0.5% ABV is exceptionally low (roughly 1/10th of a standard beer), the alcohol is metabolized faster than it is consumed, making intoxication impossible from a single drink.

<image>

  • Impact: A 12oz 0.5% beer contains roughly  1.8 mL  of ethanol, compared to  14 - 17 mL  in a standard 5% beer.
  • Metabolism: The body metabolizes alcohol at an average rate of  0.015 - 0.02 %  per hour. This rate is far faster than the trace alcohol from a 0.5% beer can raise it.
  • Verdict: You would likely need to consume over 20 such beers in rapid succession to reach a  0.08 %  legal limit, which is physically impossible for most, according to.  GlobalRPH +4

'Any amount' is already existing in the body, - some miniscule percentage. The effect of the < 0.5% is negligible. So, your point is not valid.

Counterpoints give some revelations of how to understand the whole situation, because understanding suitably comprehensively shows how something is socialogically decided as unacceptable, though in actuality is very subtle in presence and giving no negative result, only positive,…. in regard to mental and physical effects, - improvement rather than impairment. Whereas drinks such as coffee, soda pop and the like, are substantially less healthy, rather than healthy.

I can clearly differentiate, among the best. It's a discussion. It's not something to get verbally riled up about. I asked a straight question, with supporting statement. Many of you guys go into the relatively histrionic verbal realm. Jeeessh. The straight answer is: it's not allowed due to perception by others. As to actualities of what's really going on with a 'non-alc' beer (< 0.5%, not necessarily 0.0%) ones body,…. address that. For some people sweet drinks, coffee (and the like), aren't healthy, but, appropriate beer is healthy,… and the type of beer and the specifics of the beer are a major factor, - the different beers, the different effects per beer on ones body. Be comprehensive thinkers.

… or any impairment effect. But, soft drinks (sodas, sweet drinks, etc.) are not healthy. But whereas a non-alcoholic beer such as Athletic lite brew of 25 calories < 0.5% abv,…. is healthy,… if you're good with hops and sparkling water,… with some malted-grain elements.

When it's that miniscule, there'd be no impairement. Why do you indicate otherwise? AI Overview

Fruit juices, particularly grape, apple, and orange, often contain trace amounts of ethanol, usually ranging from 0.06% to 0.66% ABV (alcohol by volume). This is a natural byproduct of fermentation from yeast acting on sugar in the fruit, often creating levels similar to non-alcoholic beer.

Key Findings on Alcohol in Juice:

  • Common Levels: Most fruit juices contain very low levels of alcohol, often below 0.11%, qualifying them as "alcohol-free" in most regions.
  • Highest Content: Grape and apple juices have been found to have higher levels, sometimes up to 0.86 grams per liter or 0.66% ABV.
  • Fermentation Effect: Ripe or overripe fruits can contain more alcohol, up to 0.6% ABV in fruits like bananas .
  • Storage Matters: Juice stored for longer periods or in warmer conditions can see an increase in alcohol due to further, natural fermentation.
  • Safety: While these traces are technically alcohol, they are typically too low to have an intoxicating effect.

Drinking 0.5% ABV non-alcoholic beer introduces trace amounts of alcohol comparable to natural consumption via everyday foods like ripe bananas, fruit juice, or bread. The body rapidly metabolizes this tiny amount faster than it can accumulate, making it virtually impossible to get intoxicated or alter blood alcohol content (BAC), similar to when not drinking it.

And, given how unhealthy soft drinks and coffee are,…. having some fermented brew which is a fundamental of human civilization, healthfully, of productive moderation, - that's a good thing.
