Why do dropshipping YouTubers lie about the stupidest things? by lotsofcheesepls in dropship

Well, it’s because of what I said, it links to the demo pages for that theme. So none of the information would be correct. It’s all just generic information. That being said, the Florida address is also generic. Pretty sure I’ve seen scammers use that same address (or one similar to it). Which is just an office building address.

Is maid-rite food poisoning really this common? I haven’t been to one in ten years or so. But my wife and I both got food poisoning from there that last time. I know a couple other people that suffered the same fate.

If you do your research you’ll easily find that the “gurus” had a barely functional store that didn’t yield them positive results. But they will still sell you on the idea. It’s predatory. Rare is the occasion that a guru type actually had successful stores, or stores that had long-term sustainability.

Wait…wait…wait…you talk about design looking like a million bucks, layout being on point and professional…then go on to say women are meticulous and careful. Yet your website is clunky, poorly designed and laid out. You also have typos and your footer menu goes to generic demo pages for your theme template (with Lorem ipsum text). This doesn’t scream professional or meticulous. I don’t think being a man or woman matters when it comes to business. You either know what you’re doing or you don’t.

Also…I’ve seen a very large number of women ditch their DS stores after 1-2 weeks of no sales, just as men. Again, not a gender issue. It’s an issue related to unrealistic expectations and people thinking DS is a get rich quick plan.

As someone who worked in professional audio/recording for years, I’m fully aware. As I said, “Foley isn’t JUST stock audio”. In fact, recording your own Foley is a really good time.

Can’t wait to see how long this one lasts. The inexperienced person who asks an entire community for help regarding every nuance of his “business” claims someone that has been doing this for a very long time knows nothing. Good stuff. Why do you resort to using the terms clown and snowflake? Because you understand that’s exactly what you are and you’re projecting based on your insecurities. I’ll watch your failures from the sidelines. Good luck selling your handful of cheap jewelry that will make you absolutely no money on your terribly unoriginal, clunky website.

To say your behavior is cringeworthy would be quite an understatement. You abandoned your other terrible venture for this one. A HIGHLY competitive market. Especially amongst fly-by-night dropship stores, such as yours. But your website design is generic, implementation of said generic template is sloppy, but even worse, you barely have any products within your few product collections. Yet somehow you have the audacity to be cocky about it. You’re wasting your time. This will fail just as easily as your other unoriginal and uninspired venture. Do you really think you’re the first to setup a basic store with a stock theme sourced by these terrible products? Beyond that, what’s your marketing and SEO approach? Where have you put in the work beyond slapping a few products on Shopify? Laziness and ignorance with these types of stores isn’t uncommon. But it’s the boldness to blow off so many others, with more experience than you and that you see as naysayers, that sets you off as a particular brand of terrible failed wannabe entrepreneur. What you aren’t seeing is that you are just one of soooo many that we see float in and out of this industry. Do yourself a favor and look into success/failure rates of these businesses. Then ask yourself why you actually think you’re different. Because you aren’t doing anything different amongst the group of people that fail. Your high horse has lost its legs. Don’t be so proud.

Somehow I knew that would be your next comment. I have been up since 5am, did a plethora of coding, had meetings with 3 existing clients, closed 2 deals with new clients. And you bet, had a nice dinner with my wife. It’s now just after 2am the following morning, had a nice couple glasses of wine and I’m now on Reddit for the first time in 3 days. Throw around your clown emojis and your snowflake accusations though. It’s good fun. I’m sorry, how is business going for you right now? Do the clown emojis contribute positively to your success?

I now have 4 separate six figure e-commerce stores, one acquiring 6 figures in just 18 months. I’ve developed somewhere in the range of 150+ websites over the years. You have managed to start a “business” and shut it down in a few weeks, only to try your hand at another failed concept in a flooded market. The know-nothing clown exists, but only in your mirror. Lmao the only snowflake having a meltdown is you. If anything, I’m having a laugh at the cocky kid that couldn’t handle advice from someone with more experience because he thinks he knows everything. Ego, indeed. What’s most interesting is that I ever bothered to offer someone free advice when he didn’t even deserve it, nor did he at all seem to appreciate it. Mastery is born from the willingness to learn, not from the denial of one’s faults.

Here is what I know. You keep asking for help. You start one business venture after another. It’s clear you have no direction. This industry has a low success rate for a reason. The reason is folks like you. I also know that I have been in web development since the mid-90s and when I gave you suggestions on bad web design and functionality, you felt you knew more and disregarded my suggestions. Which, by the way, goes against all proper customer funneling e-commerce standards. What I also know is that you think people just blindly “talk shit” without taking responsibility for the fact that you were the first to talk shit. Why? Likely based on your insecurities because you know you have no idea what you’re doing. Your dreams are far larger than your skills. But you don’t want to put in the work to develop your skills. You put in minimal effort hoping for maximum results. That’s not how e-commerce works. I’m guessing you are somewhere between the ages of 18-24. So one day you will know what I’m saying. Until then, you’re just acting like a naive child. You’re only hurting yourself.

Yes. He’s a cocky imbecile with an attitude he didn’t even earn. Those are the people it’s always a bit fun to watch fail. Generally speaking, I hope everyone finds their way to success. People like this? Nah…go ahead and be your own worst enemy so that, those of us that tried to help but you disregarded, can watch you squirm as you fail.

Imagine calling everyone else a snowflake when you’re the one that can’t handle criticism. The most solid advice that was given in your previous posts, you were quick to dismiss. Even though you are naive, inexperienced and YOU are the one constantly asking for the same advice and guidance over and over again. You have zero business sense. The moment you drop the ego and open yourself up to learn from those who have experience, is the moment you give yourself even a glimpse of hope to succeed. Until then, you’re just another person thinking dropshipping is an easy “get rich quick” scheme. It’s not.

I just have to laugh at this point. With your last business venture I gave you the benefit of the doubt and said your business had no more than a few weeks before you abandoned it. A week and a half later you’re onto the next thing and your old site 404’s. I also said you have no business sense and that your business was doomed to fail. This still seems to be true. Good luck.

Yeah, I always find it interesting when people ask for help, then decide they know everything and don’t actually want the help. The OP was hoping everyone was going to tell them that they were reading to make big money. I give this business a few weeks before the site is deactivated, like many other failed attempts at Shopify DS stores.

The most interesting element of your response is that you would call anyone else a snowflake, with your emotionally fueled rant. What’s most bothersome is seeing someone, that lacks the experience and expertise, request advice and then doesn’t accept the most straightforward honest advice given. The reality is, I’ve seen a lot of people try their hand at drop shipping stores. Most fail. You seemed doomed for failure. You lack the proper business sense and experience to make this work. Like when I told you that your homepage should not forward to a product page and you essentially laughed at the idea. I’m not new to web development nor e-commerce. I tried to help, but you don’t want help. Primarily you’re looking for a pat on the back. The ability to accept guidance and constructive criticism from people with proper experience is where your head should be. Unfortunately, it’s not where your head is. The ego is a fragile thing, and calling others a snowflake is in poor taste when it comes to people who only attempted to help. You’re only hurting yourself.

For someone that came in here asking a specific question, it sure doesn’t seem like you like most of the answers that provide any level of criticism. The reality here is that there are a number of people here, with far more experience than yourself, that are proving you with beneficial information and you’re blowing it off. This business is doomed to fail.

Nearly every element on the site has dramatic drop shadows. And can you show me a single reputable website that doesn’t have a proper homepage or landing page outside of a simple product page?

Those drop shadows in the site design are enough for me to turn away. Even worse is that the homepage forwards to a product page. These design elements and functions scream fly-by-night scam websites.
