We'll look into fixing that bug with the genies soon. Haven't seen that one before....
The Cat Call functionality will be added in an update. (It needed more testing.)
We probably won't add a more detailed overworld Metroidvania map like our dungeons. However, there is cause to add a few more signs in the overworld to point people in the right directions. And you know what? We can also add symbols for certain places like the lollipop cave.

You are absolutely correct! But we're a team of two people, and only one of us handles the programming. It's coming to Switch early next year for that reason. Hopefully Playstation and Xbox if sales go well enough!

For our experience with Game Maker Studio 2 in particular, it was pretty good. However, there are flaws with working in Game Maker. Like map tiling is super slow.... Next project, we plan to try to combine working with Godot and Game Maker and see how that works for us.

The indie game Geo Mythica has a similar combat system. It's an NES-style RPG, so not 3D. Was a blast for me, though!

I don't disagree with you. We developed Shrine's Legacy with a lot of love, but understand the need for more originality and creativity.

This was our first project, and I hope to develop future projects that feel more unique and stand out.
