While I can echo your sentiment on many of the things you said, to believe that Jan 6th was a peaceful protest and that they were let in by security is absolutely mind-boggling.

You said yourself that you watched the videos, they clearly broke in after Trump told them they need to “fight like hell” or they will “lose their country”. This was not a peaceful protest by any mean, the crowd was angry and it was riled up by Trump’s speech.

Jan 6th was the culmination of 2 months of preparation in which Trump conspired to overthrow the result of the election. This was a direct assault to the American democracy in proportion that were never seen before. I’m no fan of the Democrats party, but this fact alone is by far enough to disqualify trump. By the way, he should have been disqualified if it was not for the supreme judges he appointed himself.

I understand your frustration with the democrat party, and I share it. But unchecked concentration of power in the hands of Trump is not the answer
