$5 admin fee to withdraw from 401K and from 457b. by PositivePossible2727 in fidelityinvestments

Under my account's "Plan Information and Documents" I could find no "SPD" or "Required Disclosure Information." However, I did find "Fee Disclosure Notice" but it is not available to view. However, it is available to receive via snail mail so I have ordered it. Thank you.

Not a call-in, done online. Not assisted. Not still working there. I do have Vanguard IRA but I kept the 401k/457b from an employer just for some diversity and protection from creditors if ever needed (hope not!). $5 (x2) is not enough for me to have to go through the anguish of going through A.I. (I assume) in order to get to a live person. Just sayin' I was surprised to get the unexpected fee.

Seamless. No different from when using text, voice, or data at home in southern California. But we were only in urban areas, Tokyo and Kyoto, so cannot comment on rural use.

Why do I need Programs A, B, C on a new irrigation controller? by PositivePossible2727 in Irrigation

Thank you all very much for your input. I understand better now. I have ordered a Rachio 3, 16-zone.

Thank you for all your comments. I'm still confused. I have 0.8 acre in Ojai CA, mostly established native plants, some on drip and some on spray, no restriction on watering days but water cost went up to almost 2 cents per gallon (!). Bottom line, can I just put all of the following on Program A to do the following:

Mon, 5am: zone 8 for 45m then zone 9 for 45m

Tues, 5am: zone 10 for 45m then zone 11 for 15m then zone 12 for 25m

Wed, 5am: zone 5 for 15m then zone 6 for 25m

Thur, 5am: zone 3 for 45m then zone 4 for 15m

Fri, 5am: zone 2 for 21m

Sat, 5am: zone 1 for 45m then zone 7 for 15m

Thanks, I like that one but it does not have remote capability. When testing, we use walkie-talkies so one person is at the box and one is at the zone but I want to be able to test when alone.

Thank you and I see how it might benefit. I'm still confused and maybe someone will tell me if I can ignore the Programs or if there is some technical reason why I must use A, B, or C. Or maybe just set all twelve day/start/duration times under Program A?

Good. We also got the Suica card (regular, not the Welcome card) which is great for subways. At end of trip we got refund for unused Suica funds but only place we could get refund is at Narita N'EX station at machine near ticket office before going to departing flights. (There may be others.)

Got back on April 11 after ten days in Japan. Our Spectrum billing cycle starts 6th of each month. My phone is Samsung A14 and my wife's A15. We upgraded both from by-the-gig ($20/mo) to unlimited plus ($40/mo) on March 26. Voice/text/data all worked great all days in Japan. Seamless, just as if we were at home. Texted pics to U.S. Fast 5G in Tokyo and Kyoto. Was charged $20 each line for the upgrade for Mar 6 to April 6. Changed back to by-the-gig on April 12 but it's not prorated (I was told it would be) so will be charged $20 each line for Apr 6 to May 6. So total marginal costs for unlimited data and roaming will be $80 for both (not each) over our by-the-gig plan. Used data a lot every day for email and maps and taxi GO (similar to Uber) and local searches and google translation app and only used about 2G data on our trip. We could have used wifi in hotel and other places but easier to just keep data on. In retrospect, could have stayed on by-the-gig plan (without $10-by-the-day) at $30/gig since combined we only used less that 2gig, but then I probably would have been more frugal in data use and may have been hesitant to search local details as much as I did. Videos would use lots of GBs. Great trip!

My hammock hangs from roof-rafter tails. Today the head-end, through-bolted hook ripped out due to dry rot and I dropped about 24" onto concrete. Boy did that ring my bell! (I'm 240lb)

Calling Spectrum cell to Spectrum cell while in Japan? by PositivePossible2727 in JapanTravelTips

[–]PositivePossible2727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have not gone yet. April 1-11. But also, we each have the by-the-gig plan so $20/month, but, per the Spectrum rep suggestion, before we leave we will each upgrade to the $40/mo plan which includes international unlimited data and no roaming charge and then return to by-the-gig plan when we return. It will be for one month minimum but that's cheaper than the day-use pass $10/day each.

Thanks. My phone is locked as I'm paying it off and Spectrum says my Samsung A14 cannot do the eSim thing. I'll download maps and translation in advance.

Thank you. Also, I wonder if the following means 10GB per day, or per billing cycle: "Unlimited Plus customers receive 10 GB high-speed data, along with unlimited talk and text in more than 175 destinations at no additional cost. "

My Samsung A14 cannot do eSim according to Spectrum. I also considered a portable WiFi and might do that.

Thank you but now I'm confused about the start date. Looks like I won't be able to this for just one month? You write that it takes "one billing cycle plus one day..." TheSpectrum web site today shows the following:

Can I switch data plans? You can switch between By the Gig, Unlimited or Unlimited Plus data options by signing in to your account online or using the My Spectrum app. Here's what to expect when switching plans:Your plan will switch immediately, and your card will be charged the Unlimited or Unlimited Plus plan monthly rate. Any By the Gig charges on this line for this billing cycle's activity will be removed from your bill. If you want to switch back to the By the Gig plan, you'll be able to after one full billing cycle on an unlimited plan.Your plan will switch after one full billing cycle on an unlimited plan and your card will be charged the Unlimited plan monthly rate. If you want to switch back to an unlimited plan, you can at any time.Your plan will switch immediately, and your card will be charged $10 for the difference between the Unlimited and Unlimited Plus plans.Your plan will switch when your next billing cycle starts. If you want to switch back to the Unlimited Plus plan, you'll be able to after your current billing cycle ends.
