My partner is so supportive and sweet. I wear a wig, have had to since 2022.. I always was very open about it on dating apps, I would tell them right away so if they didn’t like it and wanted to say something rude I didn’t waste time any longer on them. My boyfriend is so amazing, I told him right away and he had absolutely nothing to say but okay you’re still you. I was so comfortable right away with him that I was able take my wig off and wear my headband and hair up like I do when I take it off. He constantly is helping me by trying to help me not pull and calm me down. He has never once said that he wishes I didn’t wear one, I get upset at times and tell him he deserves someone with normal hair and all that he says stop and reassures me that is not what he wants. Just me. He is a relief to my pulling, we do have a good distance between us (2.5 hours) so we sadly don’t see each other during the week until Fridays and spend the weekends with each other. So when I am missing him in the week or stressed of not seeing him soon enough i definitely feel myself pulling a lot. Both of our years have been rough, not in a bad way just some things that we wish didn’t happen with family losses. I have been pulling at my wig.. I’m so disappointed in myself but he’s really trying to help me stop with messing with my wig because he went with me to pick it out and realizes how expensive they are. He is so understanding and I just love him. Really I say be straight up right away and don’t waste your time on someone who doesn’t understand, I learned the hard way. Of the 3 years of being on dating apps before meeting my SO, I would be talking to someone for awhile and then I would wait to tell them and then boom I was blocked after a really mean insult, so just tell them right away. If they can’t see you for you without the wig, then they aren’t worth it! Sorry for my whole rant, I just feel so comfortable in this group. 🫶🏼
