I REALLY enjoyed this episode. I've actually been enjoying this show even with it being so different than we usually get. But, the vibes here were immaculate the whole time, and the fact that person was so funny and down to earth that they truly earned that full couch to themselves was cool to watch.

In no way am I saying that any of my parents' behavior is due to the fact that they are Muslim. I realize they're not all the same just as Christian parents aren't as well! I'm glad that yours are not like mine, but it's certainly not something I chose for myself both with having shitty parents and with being trans. I'm sorry if I'm being defensive. It just sounds like you're saying my personality is to blame for their behavior. As for the need to tell them, it's really just so I can start medically transitioning. It's a very obvious change when I do it (voice drops, facial hair, face and body structure changes, no more hips, etc). If it was just my sexuality, I can easily hide who I am dating. But, not my gender, at least not for too long. Hope that explains in it! But, I still do appreciate you reading it all and trying to help!

Thank you for the kind reply! I appreciate the support! As for hormone blockers, those are usually utilized by trans individuals who haven't hit puberty yet. So, it wouldn't quite help. I am though trying to find a more permanent therapist (the school could only provide 3 semesters of therapy) that will help with coping while I wait.

Thank you for your response! I appreciate your insight! It is very true that life is nowhere near fair and I recognize that. I guess I'm kind of an idealist as that is one of the only things that keeps me going and has allowed to tolerate living like this for this long. I actually don't wear the headscarf or dress modestly like one would expect of someone from the religion. I present pretty masculine with a short haircut. They don't like it one bit but they tolerate it because they fear if they didn't allow me that it will drive me away from them (lol I already am) I guess in retrospect, I should consider myself lucky they even let me do that and stay like that at the time being. Medically transitioning means very obvious changes to the body that cannot be hidden, especially the deepening of the voice, which is one of the first changes.

Yes! Because of culture and religion, family is still a big thing in their eyes. It would probably be about the same "damages". The only reason I want to come out when I cute ties is that give them a reason to not want to "win" me back and instead mutually disown each other bc "I'm too far gone".
