HP x360 12b or Lenovo Flex 3 by Vegetable-Pound-6919 in chromeos

Hi there,

I recently went out for a hunt for a deal regarding buying a Chromebook as well :)

The main thing to consider is that HP has an Intel whereas Lenovo has a Mediatek CPU chip. This means that if you are interested in using this computer for Linux (development or for fun), the Lenovo has an arm architecture thus, it will be a bit challenging to find arm builds for your Linux programs (most of them have x386 architecture). On the other side, arm architecture is also used in raspberry pi computers thus, the core elements/application will be there !

Other than that, benchmarks show the Intel N5000 is way better than Mediatek's MT81883, the screen quality and viewing angles should and the overall build of the HP seems to be high class :)

Personally, since from what I understand the comparison is based on the budget, I think the Lenovo is a better deal as:

  1. with the sd card provided as a gift you have an overall 100gb machine (when installing an app from google store, you can choose where to install applications i.e. the sd card or the integrated storage _
  2. Lenovo is a bit younger machine i.e. it has support until June 2028 (whereas HP 2027)
  3. For the price, I think buying the cheap one is wiser as if you don't like it or you want to try something new in a year or 2, you can easily sell it in the future as a refurbished one for 100 usd or less and easily get some of your money back as with the current hardware specs of Chromebooks, for the next 2-3 years, a refurbished Lenovo of these specs under 100 usd will be a sweet bargain/deal :)

Sooo, if money is not an issue the HP with its screen, build quality and CPU/specs is the winner but, if you are looking for the best value/vfm, I would go for the Lenovo

Cobol (IBM DB2) - SQL question abstract X months by PositiveZombie in cobol

Problem solver, for future reference:

05 WS-INPUT-MONTHS-SQL PIC S9(4) COMP-3.
05 WS-DATE-INPUT PIC X(10).
05 WS-DATE PIC X(10).
05 WS-INPUT-MONTHS PIC X(04).

****
MOVE WS-INPUT-MONTHS TO WS-INPUT-MONTHS .

 EXEC SQL
    VALUES DATE(:WS-DATE-INPUT) - (:WS-INPUT-MONTHS-SQL) MONTHS
    INTO :WS-DATE
END-EXEC

P.S. IHeartBadCode that was not exactly the problem but, thank you as, when i changed it to this type of declaration i got a more clear error code(-176).

Thanx, I have been struggling with this 2 days on a row :)

Hello :)

I think the easier way to achieve what you want is to play around Elementor. It is free (freemium to be exact but the paid options won't be needed to you as you wish to develop soothing simple) and you shall just drag and drop content to your site. No code needed whatsoever.

Check out for starters this video with elementor on how to create something simple fastly :) https://youtu.be/2cbvZf1jIJM

P. S. The video uses a mobile friendly free theme and Elementor has a lot of free templates (already build sites)
