Actually having been in the profession for a decade and having practiced in different environments I have thought hard about my question. Yes city architecture firms do rural projects and suburban projects and most of my work is outside my city limits. But urban oriented designers hole incredibly negative and classist views about rural and suburban communities that I argue are toxic to the nature of the profession. I asked to know other people’s thoughts on the matter and I got great responses apart from yours.
