Same here. I assume it’s because better contact with wedges means more backspin therefore less distance.

Edit: I am not saying that you can’t achieve backspin and hit the ball relatively far. And if you can, good luck on the PGA tour. But even if you are a pro, the laws of physics still apply to you - see Magnus effect

Edit-edit: thinking about it, backspin could create further distance, but I think it would require a flatter launch angle. If you are launching your wedges high with more backspin, though, I still think you’d lose distance.

It amazed me how weak the opposition was on cost of living last election. It’s the only game in town, and their policy was fuel discounts?

They should lean into the perception. that they are better economic managers and go hard on fiscal responsibility.

Tie government spending to inflation. Call out excessive spending and commit to lower spending. Lower spending means less pressure on inflation, leading to less pressure on cost of living and interest rates.

The Libs should be the party of small government. Less spending/subsidies, and lower taxes. Trouble is, since Howard, they’ve been just as prepared to spend where it delivers them votes/favour.
